Why We Really Don’t Know What the World is Like

This is one of many reasons why you should never dismiss a threat or underestimate your enemy, even in the case of North Korea. As warned here oft, North Korea just might one day make good on those hollow threats. Year after year of the same threat in varying degrees has desensitized people and they at some point just began to ignore whatever enemated from the hermit kingdom, which could be tactic on the North’s part.

One day, and all of a sudden, two North Korean EMPs could just fall out of the sky and bring the United States back to the 1800’s. Someone might want to verify whether those two ‘weather satellites’ hanging over the continental United States are in fact weather satellites before going to war.

Either way, this is why it’s important to have discernment and pay attention to what’s happening with the American media. A case in point would be the Bill O’Reily ‘scandal’ pointed out in a previous post.

If you lived in North Korea, you might think your government had attacked a U.S. aircraft carrier which was approaching the country. You would probably think North Korea had the capabilities to hold their own against the U.S. including “super mighty” preemptive nuclear strikes which could hit mainland USA.

But we live in America, so we believe that North Korea is a backward communist country where the people are oppressed by their government and starving in the streets. Their leader is an insane dictator who talks a big game while the country sits on the brink of collapse.

And this might be close to the truth. We don’t really know though because all of our information about North Korea is imparted to us from the media and our corrupt government which controls them. In that sense, what we know about the world is not so different from what North Koreans know about the world. It is really just a matter of degree. Continue reading
