Trump administration allegedly considering plan to privatize CIA operations

Trump CIA

The United States Central Intelligence Agency and the White House are considering several proposals to hire private companies to carry out covert operations abroad, according to a report. BuzzFeed News said on Thursday that the proposals were communicated to the White House in the summer. The news site, which described the proposed plans as “highly unusual”, quoted “three sources who have been briefed on or have direct knowledge of the proposals”. The sources told BuzzFeed that, if approved, the plans would include the establishment of large intelligence networks in so-called “denied areas” —namely foreign environments deemed hostile. The networks would recruit and handle local agents, carry out psychological operations, capture terrorism suspects and rendition them to the US or third countries. “Islamic extremism” is mentioned as the primary target of the proposals. Report: Drones ‘Buzzing’ U.S. Military Installations

According to a new Defense Department study conducted by the drone surveillance startup Dedrone, drones are increasingly flying over military installations in the U.S. without authorization.

The contractor conducted a 56-day drone-detection pilot test demonstration at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, located just four miles away from the White House in Washington, D.C, as part of an Army effort to develop counter-drone security measures. The test revealed 95 instances of “previously undetectable” drone activity above the installation. Continue reading

Gorka: Nothing ‘hidden’ about the Deep State, it was ‘overt … in our faces’

Sebastian Gorka: ‘I’ve seen the worst of the worst, the first seven months, of how the bureaucracy responded to the administration of Donald J. Trump.’

The sheer number of serious national security leaks in the Trump White House thus far is a shocking “seven times” the average number of leaks in previous administration, said Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump.

In a Sept. 15 Judicial Watch panel discussion, “Exposing the Deep State,” Gorka said he preferred the term “Permanent State” and said it was not “a function of something that was hidden or deep, it was right there on the surface of our policy discussions at the White House. It was in our faces. It was arrogant . . . overt.”

This is not just a reaction to a New York mogul who became president. This has been brewing for decades, truly decades,” Gorka said.

Liberal Billionaire George Soros Will Spend More on the 2018 Midterm Race Than Ever Before

Billionaire liberal donor George Soros

Controversial billionaire George Soros will spend more on the 2018 midterm elections than in any previous one.

In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that corporations, unions, and certain nonprofits should be allowed to raise and spend unlimited amounts of money to advocate for and against political candidates.

Since then, Soros has raised $5 million for Democratic politicians in midterm elections.

Specifically, Soros took advantage of this ruling by using his Open Society Foundation (OSF) as a major contributor hub for the politicians and legislative proposals he liked best.

In an interview that included a wide range of topics, Bannon said “We’re at economic war with China,” and that the U.S. is at risk of losing. “If we continue to lose it, we’re five years away, I think, 10 years at the most, of hitting an inflection point from which we’ll never be able to recover.”

In the interview, Bannon urged tough trade sanctions against Beijing, and said China is unlikely to force North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons program. Continue reading

The State Department under Secretary Rex Tillerson has been locked in a growing power struggle with the White House that has angered officials in the West Wing and sparked claims that the Trump administration’s top diplomatic organ is now in “open war” with the White House on a range of critical issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian impasse, Iran, the crisis with Qatar, and other matters, according to multiple sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon about the situation.

The State Department is said to be in a state of “massive dysfunction,” with top officials working under Tillerson ignoring White House directives on critical staffing issues and key policy matters, according to multiple sources, including administration allies who are said to be increasingly frustrated with what is perceived as the White House’s inability to control its own federal agencies.

The tensions have fueled an outstanding power battle between the West Wing and State Department that has handicapped the administration and resulted in scores of open positions failing to be filled with Trump confidantes. This has allowed former Obama administration appointees still at the State Department to continue running the show and formulating policy, where they have increasingly clashed with the White House’s own agenda.

The ‘Deep State’ war on the Trump revolution, Part II

The resignation of Mike Flynn was the ‘culmination of a secret, months-long campaign by former Obama administration confidantes to handicap President Donald Trump’s national security apparatus.’ / Reuters

The “Deep State”, as networked centers of bureaucratic-media power in Washington has come to be known,  harnesses so much power and comprehensive data on persons of interest in the Unites States that it can easily remove any obstacles threatening that power, analysts say.

One window into that world is provided by a confidential memo David Brock, of the George Soros-funded American Bridge, wrote in the weeks after the shocking election of Donald Trump:

“With 20,000 hours of video, 289 candidate research books, and the largest available archive of Trump research in the Democratic Party, we are uniquely prepared to take on the Trump administration, defeat Republicans who enable it, and rebuild progressive power in the states. Our new Trump War Room, launched within weeks of the election, is already scrutinizing the presidential transition and will vigilantly watchdog the personnel, policies, and practices of the administration. Our purpose is to keep Trump unpopular and make it more difficult for candidates who support him to get elected in 2018.” Continue reading
