Colorado Set to ‘Kill the Constitution’

With the governor’s signature, it will become the 12th state to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.

Gov. Jared Polis’ signature is all that is needed to add Colorado to the growing list of states—mostly those under Democrat control—that have joined an interstate agreement aimed at destroying the Electoral College.

So far, 11 states and the District of Columbia have agreed to pool their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote, regardless of their state vote tallies. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact doesn’t go into effect until enough states have signed on to constitute a majority of the Electoral College, which would be 270 votes. The 11 states and D.C. so far constitute 172—Colorado would make it 181. Continue reading

We have TWO Constitutional Crises At Issue

While we now have people chanting to impeach Trump under the 25th Amendment, we also have a true Treasonous Constitutional Crisis of UNELECTED bureaucrats working to undermine an ELECTED official by the people. Regardless of the issue in play, which they refuse to describe as in the OP_ED, this is a major Constitutional Crisis that is brewing and it is all being orchestrated for the upcoming November elections. The whisper’s Behind the Curtain are actually loud and clear. The Democrats BELIEVE that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was elected because the bulk of the have-nots want more socialism and for government to increase taxes dramatically on the “rich” and corporations and hand it to them. Sort of like hiring a thug to rob your neighbor’s house because they have a nicer TV.

Is There Enough of America Left To Be Saved?

As many readers of this website have noticed, the United States has lost its character and become a dysfunctional society. In place of a largely homogeneous population once united in veneration of the Constitution, there exists today massive diversity which Identity Politics has used to disunite the population into separate interest groups.

No clause or article of the Constitution, nor the Bill of Rights, is safe. The George W. Bush and Obama regimes destroyed two of the most important protections of civil liberty—habeas corpus and due process. Bush declared indefinite imprisonment on suspicion alone without evidence or trial. Obama declared execution of US citizens on accusation alone without due process. The Justice (sic) Department wrote legal memos justifying torture, thus destroying the constitutional protection against self-incrimination. One of the authors of the memos is now a professor of law at UC Berkeley. The other is now a federal judge, indications that respect for the Constitution and enforcement of US and international laws against torture is fading in law schools and the federal judiciary.   • Forstchen gave warning on the October 25th edition of “The Jim Bakker Show” during their weeklong, “Ready Now Expo Oct. 2016.”
  • Forstchen: “I’m a civil war historian.” The U.S. election of 1860 “is the closest I can parallel this to.”
  • “And we all know what the price was. When we went to a civil war, they killed 660,000 young men because we became so divided.”
  • Forstchen urged voters to turn out even if they disliked the candidates, because of other US congress races and the Supreme Court appointment.
  • Forstchen: “I do believe we are at 1860. We are that close to the edge of the debacle.”
  • Baptist pastor Carl Gallups then alluded to false Christian doctrine: “The prophecy clock started ticking” when the modern nation of Israel was established in 1948.

This is a video of Putin explaining the balance of power from the Russian viewpoint. He is absolutely correct in saying that an anti-missile system neutralizes opposition. It would certainly embolden the war hawks into believing that they could defeat Russia and rule the world at the expense of American and Russian citizens.

Montesquieu, who influenced the Founding Fathers in creating the Constitution, met the political leader and soldier known as the Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663-1736). The political discussions between these two men helped Montesquieu understand the evils of government and forged the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and the right to bear arms. The Prince of Savoy was considered, even by Napoleon, as one of the seven greatest strategists in military history. He fought against the Turks (1683-1688, 1697, 1715-1718) and he fought against the French in the War of the Grand Alliance (1689-1691). Barack Obama’s time as president of the United States has largely been defined by his frequent sidestepping of Congress. Before a cabinet meeting in 2014, he said, “We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need.” His disregard for working within the strictures of the Constitution is paving the way for the next president to work outside of those bounds too. In Vietnam, our president again insisted the Stalinist Ho was the second coming of Thomas Jefferson.

Three summers ago here at The American Spectator I published a piece titled, “Ho Chi Minh, Obama’s Freedom Fighter.” It got a lot of play, reprinted by (among others) Real Clear Politics.

The focus was yet another stunning statement uttered on behalf of a communist by our President of Fundamental Transformation. This one came during a July 25, 2013 meeting between Barack Obama and the leader of communist Vietnam. Obama stated: “We discussed the fact that Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the words of Thomas Jefferson.

Bypassing the checks and balances imposed by America’s founders, the executive branch has come to new heights of power.

Historians may look back on Jan. 14, 2014, as a tipping point in American history. On that day, President Barack Obama urged his cabinet to help him identify ways to advance economic recovery by circumventing the legislature.

“We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need,” the president told reporters before his cabinet meeting. “I’ve got a pen, and I’ve got a phone. And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward in helping to make sure our kids are getting the best education possible, making sure that our businesses are getting the kind of support and help they need to grow and advance, to make sure that people are getting the skills that they need to get those jobs that our businesses are creating.”

No president since World War ii has openly justified executive overreach by saying that it was necessary to circumvent legislatures because they refused to do what he wanted!

Lawmakers Vote to Let Obama Take Your Passport Without Trial

Freedoms are eroding on the homeland and soon a lot of patriots won’t even be able to get out. Americans are being corralled like cattle in a legal manner and soon to be imprisoned in their own country.

 

In a radical attack on the due-process rights of Americans that received virtually no media attention, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted to give the Obama administration the unilateral power to strip you of your passport and right to travel without a trial or even criminal charges. The scheme does not even include a way to challenge your status as a non-person involuntarily trapped inside U.S. borders on orders from the secretary of state. Lawmakers, some of whom could themselves be caught in the dragnet along with myriad administration officials, praised the effort as a way to stop alleged terrorists from travelling. But critics said it was yet another attack on the fundamental rights of Americans, such as due-process protections, and that it must be resisted. Continue reading

Texas Launches Gold-backed Bank, Challenging Federal Reserve

The State of Texas is setting up a gold-backed bank that will allow depositors to bypass the controversial Federal Reserve System and its fiat currency in banking and commerce, according to the state representative who authored the recently enacted law. Under the measure, passed overwhelmingly by lawmakers and signed in mid-June by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, Lone Star State officials will establish and operate the Texas Bullion Depository for anyone who would like to deposit and trade in precious metals. The implications are as big as Texas.

While some analysts have said the move may be another sign heralding Texas’ eventual secession from the union, or preparation for financial Armageddon, its advocates say the depository simply makes financial sense. Among other benefits, the institution will provide more options to consumers weary of the increasingly troubled traditional banking and monetary system, which is viewed by the public with growing suspicion. And experts say the effect of making it easier to use sound money in commerce could be far-reaching. Continue reading
