Police agencies in the United States and Canada said that most of the threats were emailed, but some were phoned in by unknown individuals. They warned that devices containing explosive compounds such as tetryl or trinitrotoluene would be detonated unless funds were deposited into an international account using the virtual currency bitcoin. The messages also warned that the alleged devices would be detonated if “any police activity or unusual behavior” were detected. A deadline of one business day was given to deposit the funds. Throughout the day, police agencies across three continents issued notices cautioning people to remain aware of their surroundings and report suspicious messages or behavior. It was eventually determined that virtually all bomb threats were not credible. Continue reading

One third of Americans think a civil war is coming, but almost no one understands why it is coming.

There are a matter of hours until midterm elections conclude and millions of Americans finish casting their ballots for 33 seats in the Senate and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives. But not all Americans are prepared to peacefully accept the results of the election. Actor James Cromwell told Variety magazine last Sunday that if the Republicans maintain their congressional majority, there will be “blood in the streets.” Continue reading

Iran: ‘He himself would have been harmed’

Iranian leaders prevented a top International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) official from disclosing to U.S. officials the nature of secret side deals with the Islamic Republic by threatening harm to him, according to regional reports.

Yukiya Amano, IAEA director general, purportedly remained silent about the nature of certain side deals during briefings with top U.S. officials because he feared such disclosures would lead to retaliation by Iran, according to the spokesman for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI). SCO Must Develop Measures to React to Threats Against Member States

And now the military side of the SCO will begin showing its teeth. These comments set the tone.

With India and Pakistan to be accepted into the club as early as Monday, the U.S., who is already suiciding itself out of existence, is going to have a serious problem on its hands — and is not prepared. Russia is also a full-fledged member.

If you ever wanted to see the 200 million man army written in Bible prophecy, this is a good candidate. The SCO is a world war axis and the sword is coming.

Cyber attackers leaving warning ‘messages’: NSA chief

There’s been concern for quite some time now that Russia has already infected U.S. critical infrastructure with viruses but are yet to be activated and unleashed until there’s a need or the time is right.

Attackers hacking into American computer networks appear to be leaving “cyber fingerprints” to send a message that critical systems are vulnerable, the top US cyber-warrior said Thursday.

Admiral Michael Rogers, director of the National Security Agency and head of the Pentagon’s US Cyber Command, made the comments to a US Senate panel as he warned about the growing sophistication of cyber threats. Continue reading

Moscow blocks the path to the EU

Russia has applied more and more pressure on its former satellites to join its proposed Eurasian Union. Lithuania, which is keen to forge new ties with the EU, is also coming under increasing powerful pressure.

Russian customs-bullying of Lithuania is part of a bigger power struggle. The Kremlin is geared itself towards obstructing the European Union’s Eastern Partnership policy and forcing Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to forsake any attempt to get close to Europe, instead seeking to push these countries back under Moscow’s rule via the so-called Eurasian (customs) Union.
