Germany warns of threat from more than 500 ‘potential attackers’

BERLIN (Reuters) – Germany’s interior minister has warned that the country is home to more than 500 Islamic militants who could be capable of carrying out assaults on their own or as members of “hit teams.”

Speaking in an interview with Bild newspaper, Thomas de Maiziere said there were currently at least 520 “potential attackers” in the country, which has been on edge since two Islamic State-inspired attacks in July. Continue reading

UPDATE: ISIS TERRORIST Tells Feds He Has Jihadist Brothers in Mexico

Earlier this year a top ranking Homeland Security official acknowledged that Mexican drug cartels were helping ISIS sneak across the southern border to scope out targets for terrorist attacks.

ISIS operative Shaykh Mahmood Omar Khabir has reportedly been training militants near the US border near Ciudad Juarez for the past year.

Khabir actually brags in an Italian newspaper article published last week that the border region is so open that he “could get in with a handful of men, and kill thousands of people in Texas or in Arizona in the space of a few hours.”

Is Europe Finally Ready for an Army?

Caption: (Gary Dorning)

Demands for it are getting louder than ever. Here is why we know it will happen.

Top leaders in Germany, France and the European Union are calling for a pan-European military. Such a military would be a truly world-shaking development. Yet many dismiss the idea because it has yet to materialize despite a long-term desire to create it.

But now, a European military seems likelier than ever. The attacks in Paris and Nice, as well as those occurring elsewhere in Europe, have left France desperate for European military help. Germany is more willing than ever to take the lead in Europe, and is remilitarizing. And Britain’s vote to leave the European Union removes Europe’s biggest obstacle to building a combined military.

Germany, Migrants and the Big Lie

Muslim migrants are flooding Germany with problems. German leaders want to cover it up; German citizens want different leaders

Germans are being lied to by their government. By Angela Merkel, by their police force and even by their media. For most of 2015, many suspected as much. Those suspicions were confirmed in the most dramatic possible way in Cologne on New Year’s Eve.

That night, a mob of around 1,000 migrants gathered outside Cologne’s central train station and began molesting, robbing and even raping passersby. As of January 14, 652 crimes were reported to Cologne police from that evening. Of those, 331 included alleged sexual offenses, including two rapes.

A leaked police report stated that “[w]omen literally had to run the gauntlet through the mass of drunk men, in a way you can’t describe.” One person talked about how he arrived at the station and saw “countless weeping women.” Continue reading

Germany Extends Its Military Arm

The troops currently stationed at Incirlik Air Base include pilots, technicians, ground staff and specialists who evaluate the obtained images from the reconnaissance flights. Yet the troops at Incirlik have had to operate within temporary structures, such as containers and tents.

Spiegel reported that the German Army expects a long-term operation in Turkey. It referenced a planning paper from the Defense Ministry, which listed $75 million to be spent for: an air control area ($12 million), accommodations for German soldiers ($17 million), and a fully equipped combat headquarters ($39 million). Time to take sides in the war within Islam

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls was right when he recently said that there is no good excuse for jihad. Rejecting the culture of excuses, said Valls, also meant resisting the temptation to dwell on explanations of the jihadi impulse.

And Valls was right again on April 4 when he warned against the danger of an ideological victory for Salafism, the doctrine underlying jihad, which views Europe (and, within Europe, France) as prime ground for proselytizing. Continue reading

Putin’s secret armies: Russia has ‘army of sleepers in Western cities ready to strike’

If you think this is outlandish or some sort of joke, you might want to read “Spetsnaz. The Story Behind the Soviet SAS” by Viktor Suvorov, a Soviet GRU defector.

Chapter 15 is of particular importance in this case, as noted:

All these operations — because of course none of these events is an accident — and others like them are known officially in the GRU as the ‘preparatory period’, and unofficially as the ‘overture’. The overture is a series of large and small operations the purpose of which is, before actual military operations begin, to weaken the enemy’s morale, create an atmosphere of general suspicion, fear and uncertainty, and divert the attention of the enemy’s armies and police forces to a huge number of different targets, each of which may be the object of the next attack.

The overture is carried by agents of the secret services of the Soviet satellite countries and by mercenaries recruited by intermediaries. The principal method employed at this stage is ‘grey terror’, that is, a kind of terror which is not conducted in the name of the Soviet Union. The Soviet secret services do not at this stage leave their visiting cards, or leave other people’s cards. The terror is carried out in the name of already existing extremist groups not connected in any way with the Soviet Union, or in the name of fictitious organisations.

The GRU reckons that in this period its operations should be regarded as natural disasters, actions by forces beyond human control, mistakes committed by people, or as terrorist acts by organisations not connected with the Soviet Union.

The terrorist acts carried out in the course of the ‘overture’ require very few people, very few weapons and little equipment. In some cases all that may be needed is one man who has as a weapon nothing more than a screwdriver, a box of matches or a glass ampoule. Some of the operations can have catastrophic consequences. For example, an epidemic of an infectious disease at seven of the most important naval bases in the West could have the effect of halving the combined naval might of the Soviet Union’s enemies.

The links are there. All you need to do is connect the dots. Take the San Bernardino terrorist attacks, for example, where some level of Russian connection and possible influence is apparent.

Don’t also think anything like this is limited to Germany and not America. If there’s a joke involved in this, it’s on you for turning a blind eye.

Putin expert and biographer Boris Reitschuster claims in his new book ‘Putin’s Hidden War’ that this army of sleepers is trained in the Russian “Systema” techniques of martial arts and knife fighting as taught to his country’s special forces units.

German author Reitschuster claims to have seen the reports of a western european intelligence service detailing the covert groups spread across the continent.

“This means the Kremlin leader and ex-Intelligence Chief Putin has direct access to an elite fighter network in the West,” said popular German daily newspaper BILD ahead of the book’s publication on Friday this week.

Are Terrorist Attacks Following the 8.6 Year Frequency?

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ECM-1998-2002-r.jpg

We have many readers in Brussels. My sincere sympathy for what is taking place in Europe. I have hesitated to be an alarmist with this aspect of our war cycle. But one reader sent in this note today:

Dear Martin,

I could have been one of the victims today since I passed the Maalbeek subway station (100m from my work) 15min before the attack. This is a really strange thing to experience.

Will this be an important, post 2015.75, game changer since it was in the middle of the European district? Continue reading

War, a Mission of Generations

BERLIN (Own report) – Following last Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris, leading German media have begun speaking of a new world war. A renowned daily, for example, wrote that “a third world war” is currently being forced upon “the entire planet,” warning that the war against IS “is not yet being waged with the intensity needed in a world war.” Other journals are calling for resolute action without “half-heartedness” or even “self-recrimination.” The fact that after 14 years of the “War on Terror,” terrorism is stronger than ever before and the Arab-Muslim world is in shambles is allegedly not the result of a misguided western policy. The West supposedly bears no responsibility for the fact that “processes of disintegration and decivilization” have begun within the “Muslim belt of crisis stretching from Pakistan to Morocco,” which has led to a “breakdown of civilization.” In addition to the continuation – and even expansion – of the policy of military intervention, various media are also calling for broadening domestic repression. In the case of a “terror threat,” the Bundeswehr should take on the task of protecting endangered streets. Among Germany’s main national media organs, only one renowned business journal is not participating in this comprehensive orchestration of public opinion and preparation for a “world war.” Military escalation “does not bring peace,” it only “spawns suicide bombers,” warns its chief editor and calls for finally searching for alternatives. SCO exercise Peace Mission 2014 to involve 7,000 troops

Russian military servicemen get ready to head for China to take part in Peace Mission 2014 drills, Aug. 2014

SHANGHAI, August 19. /ITAR-TASS/. The Peace Mission 2014 antiterrorist exercise of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be the largest ever in the organizations’ history, a Chinese military official said on Tuesday.

It’s the first time that so many troops and so much weaponry have been deployed in joint drills under the SCO aegis,” Wang Ning, chief director of the drilla and deputy chief of the general staff of the People’s Liberation Army, told the China Daily newspaper. Drones, Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft, air-defense missiles, tanks and armored vehicles have joined the anti-terrorist drills in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that will be held from August 24 to 29.

Obama Lifts Ban on Libyans Attending U.S. Flight Schools, Training In Nuke Science

Ban has been in place since 1983

The Obama administration has lifted longtime restrictions on Libyans attending flight schools in the United States and training here in nuclear science, according to a final amendment of the ban recently approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

Less than two years after the deadly terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is poised to sign off on an amendment reversing the ban, which was enacted following a wave or terrorist attacks in 1980s and prevents Libyans from studying these sensitive trades in the United States.

The original law effectively disqualified all Libyan nationals and those “acting on behalf of Libyan entities” from training in “aviation maintenance, flight operations, or nuclear-related fields,” according to the ban.

DHS said the prohibition is irrelevant now since the United States and Libya have worked to “normalize their relationship,” according to the directive approved by the OMB. Continue reading
