China’s space capabilities are ranked the fourth in the world, and the gap between the leading powers is narrowing, according to a report issued recently by a Chinese research organization.

China is at a crucial period developing from a major power to a great power in space, says an evaluation by the Beijing Institute of Space Science and Technology Information, affiliated to the China Academy of Space Technology.

Last year saw a record 92 launches around the world, with 262 spacecraft put into orbit. The institute for the first time evaluated the space capabilities of 20 countries and regions across six aspects: strategy, product systems, infrastructure, industrial scale, innovation and international influence. World order redrawn as new rivalry forms among China, Russia, US

China and Russia have been in a honeymoon of sorts since last year, when the two countries signed deals on natural gas and currency exchange, and when they conducted a joint military exercise in the East China Sea. Senior leaders from the two sides will continue to meet often this year but it remains to be seen whether the personal friendship between Putin and President Xi Jinping of China will elevate the two countries’ bilateral relationship to the level of strategic partners.

The crisis over Russian intervention in Ukraine and subsequent economic sanctions on Moscow have deepened and broadened Sino-Russian cooperation in the areas of international politics, economy, defense, energy, investment, culture and technology. The value of bilateral trade has reached US$100 billion and is expected to top US$200 billion in five years. Continue reading

The U.S. Has No Defense Against A Russian Nuclear Attack. Really.

Not only is the American defense system a sham, but the Sino-Soviet alliance is weaponizing space. The US abandonment of the Star Wars program was absolute suicide and a strategic deception on Russia’s part through it’s so-called ‘collapse’. Meanwhile, Russia has also claimed the ability to evade any missile defense with its latest ballistic missile technology.

If you think America is safe today and has nothing to worry about because it’s in tip-top shape, you either haven’t been paying attention at all or are willfully blind.

You can also take a look at the following, but not complete list of previous articles, to put into perspective the grave danger America is putting itself in:

Missile Defense — Why America Has Almost No Protection From The Greatest Threat It Faces, And What To Do About It

The nicest thing that can be said about this approach to security is that it opened the way to reductions in nuclear arsenals on both sides.  The arms reductions have been substantial, but in a way they don’t matter: Russia still has an assured capacity to obliterate America’s society and economy.  That isn’t going to change, because Moscow doesn’t trust Washington and nuclear weapons are its sole remaining claim to superpower status. China‘s secret plan to topple the US as the world’s superpower

Just like the Russians today, China has its own separate plans. Yet, it is with One Clenched Fist by a Sino-Soviet alliance that will strike America after it is lulled into a false sense of security by consuming endless New Lies for Old after many decades. The tragedy in all of this is when America finally wakes up, it’s too late. However, from time to time you do find pockets of information such as this by a writer who may ‘get it’.

For more information on shashou jian, or “Assassin’s Mace”, here are some aged yet very relevant articles covering the threat from China:

In 1995, Michael Pillsbury, an expert on China who has worked with every US president since Nixon and has, he writes, “arguably had more access to China’s military and intelligence establishment than any other Westerner,” was reading an article written by “three of China’s preeminent military experts” about “new technologies that would contribute to the defeat of the United States.”

It was in this article that Pillsbury first saw the term “Assassin’s Mace,” which refers to a weapon from Chinese folklore that guarantees a small combatant victory over a larger, more powerful opponent.

The article described goals including “electromagnetic combat superiority” that would allow for “naval victory,” and “tactical laser weapons” that would “be used first in anti-missile defense systems.” They also discussed jamming and destroying radar and various communications systems, and the use of computer viruses. Who Will Be Tomorrow’s Superpower?

The geo-political map is set to change. Is the world ready?

There’s a popular geopolitical parlor game called Who will be the next superpower?

While the game excels at triggering a mind-fogging tsunami of nationalistic emotions, it doesn’t shed much light on the really consequential question: What is power?

These are important questions to ponder as, around the world, unsustainable policies from the 20th century are beginning to fail in earnest. What will the future geopolitical landscape look like in their aftermath?

Merkel Slams US Hegemony? “America Can’t Solve All The World’s Problems Anymore”

First Russia and China, then UAE, Egypt, and Turkey… and now it appears Germany (following a phone call with Putin) is pulling the rug out from under US hegemony – just as Obama’s warmongery ramps up…

Obama is reversing Reagan’s Cold War victory, inviting new hot wars

President Obama is on the verge of an historic triumph.

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the American Left has been bitter about America’s victory in the Cold War. For decades, they preached moral equivalence between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Without firing a shot, Reagan achieved the unthinkable — the U.S.S.R was swept into the dustbin of history. Moreover, the United States emerged as the world’s sole superpower. Its military might was unrivaled. Its economic prosperity was unmatched. Its democratic system was the envy of the world. Continue reading

Dr Marc Faber: The Terminal Phase of a Credit and Asset Bubble

In the gilded ballroom of Hyatt’s Savoy ballroom, World War D‘s opening speaker Dr Mark Faber delivered a blunt message: the old world order is over.

The US reached a peak in prosperity and influence in the world in the 1950s or 1960s,’ said Faber. But since the 70s the superpower has been locked into a cycle of bubbles, busts and growing debt.

Debt, and the way it has manipulated the global economy, was the main theme of Faber’s address.

There are some people who claim to be economists who will tell you debts do not matter,’ Faber told the packed ballroom.

But the real story is different…. Continue reading

‘More Europe, not less’ needed on security and defence

As the EU situation continues to get worse, the only consistent solution Europe has thought up and pushed for has been to further consolidate. The world’s next superpower is bringing its European Army with it.

An effective European security and defence policy would allow the EU to ‘project influence globally’, argues Maria Eleni Koppa.

European security and defence is a topic that has been attracting a lot of attention after the decision of the European council to hold a special discussion dedicated on security and defence – for the first time since 2008 – at the forthcoming December summit. In this context, on 21 November, the European parliament adopted the report on the implementation of European security and defence policy, concerning the positions of the parliament for the future of the common security and defence policy (CSDP). Is America Really a Superpower If It Can’t Even Produce Its Own Bullets? — The Mess of the Doe Run Lead Smelter

The systematic dismantling of America from within its own walls continues. In one case of many, this one falls under crippling and shutting down critical industry via environmental regulation.

The EPA shuttered America’s last lead smelter. Was this a good idea?

Which is more important: that America is able to refine and process lead ore, or that the 2,800 people in Herculaneum, Missouri, have cleaner air and soil?

Actually, it doesn’t matter what you think! Unelected bureaucrats in Washington have already made the decision for you.

As of December 31, the last remaining lead refining plant in America will shut down. After well over 100 years of operation, the new, latest round of stricter environmental laws has forced its closure. One hundred and forty-five employees will lose their jobs. Another 45 contractors will be out of work. And America will no longer be able to produce refined lead from ore. Continue reading

Close to Reality and Mission

While it’s common knowledge that China is on the rise, little do people see that Germany is back on the march. Germany is the merchant of the world and engine that runs the European Union, the largest economy in the world. It has recently in the last few years, via the economic crisis, subjugated and taken the national sovereignty out of countries that are hurting the most — all in exchange for kicking the can down the road (forced bailouts) until the next opportunity (crisis) arises to extort more out of the victim. Because it can throw is economic weight around and runs the Troika, it has the authority to do so. With this growing power, Germany will likely turn the EU bloc into the next world’s superpower.

Further integration among the EU members is being pushed, whether the citizens of each nation like it or not. Meanwhile, the USA cannot be relied upon and is definitely trusted less due to the ongoing NSA scandal, which is hypocritical for Germany to scoff at being that it has cooperated with the agency since the 1960’s. The USA has also done its part in encouraging Germany to increase its role in the world. From all this, a European Army is being born for its respective upcoming United States of Europe with the Fourth Reich at the helm. As we speak, EU members are integrating their militaries with their German counterparts and there is increasing demand among prominent figures across the bloc in calling for a new military structure.

Those who think China or Russia might be the next world’s superpower(s) might be in for a shock. In the end, even with the USA suiciding itself out of existence, nobody will still trust China or Russia to lead the world. The best case scenario for the two will be a multi-polar world where power and influence are shared.

So may scoff at the idea, but today’s jokes are often tomorrow’s reality. For now, all eyes should be on Deutschland.

BERLIN/BERGEN/MUNSTER (Own report) – The Bundeswehr is preparing prospective general staff officers for the invasion of foreign countries and the repression of civil unrest. Scenarios to this effect formed the basis of an informational training exercise for the military’s future commanders that ended last week. The large-scale maneuver, which involved a total of 3,500 soldiers and 700 ground and aerial vehicles – carried out in the close vicinity of the former Nazi Bergen-Belsen concentration camp – also exercised combat against insurgents in congested urban areas. Various surveillance drones and elite units specialized in “covert operations” as well as those specialized in psychological warfare were also in action. They trained using live ammunition. According to the German military, the exercise took the “reality” of past warfare into consideration, while anticipating “foreseeable challenges of the future.”

Ned Goodman:The dollar is about to be dethroned as the world’s de facto currency (Video)

The Fed will very likely never ‘taper’.  If so, there will be a bond sell off which would quickly spiral out of control. Quantitative easing, or QE, will be permanent until it eventually causes a collapse.

The Fed not tapering is also supported by Egon von Greyerz, the founder of Matterhorn Asset Management in Switzerland, in an interview just two days ago.

The ‘day of reckoning’ is indeed coming. The question is not if, but when.

On Sept. 15, Canadian billionaire Ned Goodman spoke at the Cambridge House regarding the U.S. dollar, and the state of the Western economies. In his nearly eight minute speech, the 75 year old CEO of Dundee Capital Markets and Chancellor of Brock University painted a picture of the upcoming change in reserve currency control by the U.S., and how the dollar will soon be replaced as nations around the world rush to get rid of their currency reserves.

Ned Goodman: In my view, the dollar is about to become dethroned as the world’s de facto currency. I’ll tell you how I came to that conclusion so quickly… the new President of China, Xi Jinping, his first visit on the day of his becoming President, was at his request to meet with Mr. Putin. And he immediately made a deal with Mr. Putin to get all the oil that he needs, which he can buy in Renminbi.

We’re headed to a period of stagflation, maybe serious inflation, but stagflation for sure, and the United States will be losing the privilege to print at its will, the world’s reserve currency. A period that’s going to be very inflationary, and I can tell you that before that happens, it is likely that it is going to get quite ugly. – Ned Goodman, Cambridge House Continue reading

China Pres Urges Military To Expand, Strengthen

As China becomes a superpower, so with it comes the need for a stronger military.

President Xi Jinping told the Navy this weekend that he wants his military to train harder, strengthen their defense capabilities and protect the country’s “sovereignty, security and development.”

Last week, President Xi was at the Shenyang military theater of operations where he visited a training session aboard China’s first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning. Continue reading

Mighty China Offers To Help

China has offered to help Russia rebuild its armed forces. China needs a strong ally and Russia needs help to become that kind of mighty ally. Currently China is more of a superpower than Russia. Chinese GDP is more than three times Russia’s and China is spending more than three times as much on defense as Russia (which is trying to maintain defense spending at 2.8 percent of GDP). Current Russian GDP is nearly $2 trillion, and 2.8 percent of that is $50 billion. The U.S. spends over three percent of a $15 trillion GDP on defense, but is reducing that a bit.  Economy is destiny, as the Russians have learned. With recent spectacular economic growth in China, the Russians see the possibility of a return to the status of a major military power. At the moment China has twice as many troops and most of them have better weapons. But the cost fixing this appears to be more than the Russians can afford. China is offering to help by spending billions more on Russian weapons (despite the flagrant Chinese theft of Russian military tech). As distasteful as the situation is, the Russians really do need some help. The Russians are also becoming aware that they were not much of a superpower back in the Soviet days. Continue reading
