America’s Social Depression Is Accelerating

It’s no question America is at a crossroads and could go the way of Rome. This why it’s noteworthy to point out that things turn violent towards the very end, which is what we see not only in America through demonstrations and the demonization of politicians at restaurants, etc…, but the growing thirst for blood sports such as UFC/MMA, as astutely observed in this article:

Does Society Turn More Violent During its End Times?

Beneath the rah-rah statistics of “the greatest economy ever,” the social depression is accelerating. The mainstream is reluctantly waking up to the future of the American Dream: downward mobility for all but the top 10% of households.

A 2015 Atlantic article fleshed out the zeitgeist with survey data that suggests the Great Middle Class/Nouveau Proletariat is also waking up to a future of downward mobility: The Downsizing of the American Dream.

People used to believe they would someday move on up in the world. Now they’re more concerned with just holding on to what they have. Continue reading

Buckle down for more wars if Clinton wins

There are many reasons people oppose Hillary Clinton’s presidential run, including a history of scandal. Worse, she would lead America into more foolish wars.

Clinton’s beliefs, behavior and promises all demonstrate that she embraces the militaristic status quo. In fact, her proclivity for promiscuous war-making has attracted the support of leading neoconservatives, including some architects of the disastrous Iraq War. Continue reading

The Urgency of Modernizing Satellite Control Infrastructure

Moreover, the GPS system that the American military and society in the United States relies upon, is also nearing its expiration date and risks complete collapse. Meanwhile, China and Russia are deploying their own advanced GPS-like systems, BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and GLONASS, respectively. America’s GPS infrastructure was banned from Russian territory on June 1st of 2014. Europe has also created its own GPS-like system, Galileo, which like the previous has both commercial and military use.

If you haven’t noticed yet, there is a new inevitable chapter in world history that is post-America being opened up — and it is right around the corner. We’re talking from months (maybe even weeks) to two or three years away. Whether America itself as we know it will survive the transition to see it remains to be seen. For the most part, at this moment, its adversaries and so-called allies are making moves that want a world without America.

The satellite infrastructure that the DoD relies on for operational awareness is inefficient and is badly in need of modernization. The status quo isn’t acceptable, and changes must begin now.

Those aren’t my words, although I agree with them strongly. It’s the message contained in a memorandum dated July 29th sent by General John Hyten, Commander of the U.S. Air Force Space Command, to senior subordinates. As reported in this recent story from Space News, emerging threats from other powers and budget constraints are prompting the DoD to leverage commercial efficiencies and to adopt a common ground infrastructure. Greece Changes Strategy: No Longer Demands Debt Write Off, Ask For Debt Exchange Instead

Guess who blinked first.

The ECB’s February 28th warning shot across the bow from the Troika, which is fully stacked with Germany’s Fourth Reich, sent a clear message to fall back in line. Apparently the current Communist Greek government wants to hold on to its power and not let the situation descend into utter chaos. What they’re probably waiting on is to see what options they have with their friends in Russia in hopes of throwing them a line.

Up until now, Berlin and Washington looked pretty solid as it overturned and took Ukraine away from Moscow’s sphere of influence. Now Russia struck back and has a piece of the EU.

Over a week after the new Greek government came to power, it has presented its first actual proposal of how it hopes to negotiate with Europe that does not involve the infamous “debt write off”, which as both Germany and the ECB have made clear, is a non-starter as it impairs the ECB’s balance sheet and leads to a loss of “faith” in the money printer, the legacy monetary system and so on. So instead of yet another debt restructuring, the FT reports that Yanis Varoufakis “would no longer call for a headline write-off of Greece’s €315bn foreign debt. Rather it would request a “menu of debt swaps” to ease the burden, including two types of new bonds.” Actually he still does, only he is not calling it as such. Continue reading
