Syria moves all its fighter jets to Russian base

Syria has moved all its fighter aircraft to the Russian Hmeimim air base in Latakia three weeks after 59 US Tomahawk cruise missiles knocked out one-fifth of its air force at the Shayrat base, in retaliation for a chemical attack on civilians in Idlib. This was reported Wednesday night, April 19, by the Pentagon. The Russian high command in Syria has its seat at that base.

debkafile’s military sources report that the Syrian air force will operate henceforth under Russian protection and behind the advanced Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense shield without fear of US reprisals. Continue reading

Op-Ed: Did US work with Russia in ‘surprise’ Syria strike?

An interesting take that deserves attention.

Could President Trump have struck a deal with Russia before the strikes in a play to nullify his opposition and peacefully split up Syria?

(VERO BEACH, FLA) On Thursday evening at approximately 20:40 ET (04:40 AM, Friday, April 7th local time) the US reportedly launched 57 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAMs) from the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers USS Porter and USS Ross located in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Their target was the Shayrat Airfield in Homs, Syria, and according to Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis the missiles successfully struck aircraft, hardened aircraft shelters, petroleum, logistical storage, ammunition supply bunkers, air defense systems, and radars.

According to the Pentagon press release, Russian forces, as well as regional allies, were notified in advance of the strike using previously established deconfliction lines, and ‘precautions’ were taken to minimize risk to Russian or Syrian personnel located at the airfield.  Continue reading

Russia may sell Iran $10 billion worth of tanks and jets in new arms deal

Russia is in talks with Iran over a $10 billion arms deal in which Moscow would provide advanced tanks, artillery systems, planes and helicopters to the Islamic republic.

The nascent deal would further cement an alliance between Moscow and Tehran that is likely to prove a major stumbling block for any rapprochement between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, who has vowed to rip up a nuclear agreement with Iran that the Kremlin supports.

Toying with a World War (II)

BERLIN/DAMASCUS (Own report) -While jihadi militias pursue their military offensive launched on the weekend in Aleppo, the German government is increasing its pressure on Russia. “As the most important supporter of the regime” in Damascus, Moscow must provide “a sound agreement for Aleppo,” demanded German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. But it was in fact the militia that broke the ceasefire initiated by Russia late last week and it was they who were also preventing the evacuation of the civilian population by firing at the escape corridors, as a British journalist reported from Aleppo. Similar practices are being used by the militia in the Iraqi town of Mosul, however these are being described for what they are, i.e. the IS is using civilians as “human shields.” The German government is intensifying its pressure on Russia, at a moment when Moscow is reinforcing its military strength in the Eastern Mediterranean with the deployment of an aircraft carrier battle group near the Syrian coast, aimed at achieving an equal footing with the western powers. A German Bundeswehr frigate is accompanying the French aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle” in the same region, where the Russian aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov” is going. Particularly the German Green Party leadership is raising demands for declaring a no-fly zone over Syria – preparing another escalation, risking a direct war with Russia.

Russia’s Drills Update

https://i0.wp.com/www.memri.org/image/30353.jpg

The following is a list detailing Russia’s military drills during October:[1]

Admiral Kuznetsov Aircraft Carrier

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, currently en route to Syria, will unlikely be involved in exerting control over the skies over Syria. Peskov said: “I do not think that it is necessary to keep somebody away, [or that] somebody can attack [the Syrian government forces] … as there are enough instruments to control the skies, to control the safety of our temporary infrastructure in Syria, which is why there is no such opportunity.” (Sputniknews.com, October 22) Continue reading

Do We Really Want War With Russia?

Since the article captures the point of how serious this situation is and is quite well written, it shall remain in full here for archiving purposes.

I wish I could say things were improving between the US and Russia but they aren’t. They’re rapidly worsening.

There’s so much happening right now, I can only provide a summary of a few of the more interesting and worrying developments.

This report builds on those I’ve released over the past two years and begins with a chilling editorial put out by the NY Times on September 29th, 2016, which further demonized Putin specifically, Russia generally, and openly advocates for military confrontation.

Hey, we’ve been down this path before.  The deeply conflicted NY Times has never met a war in the Middle East it didn’t support, and has never had any trouble repeating war plan talking points (that always neatly align with those put out by neocon think tanks) or even printing obviously fake “intelligence” from unnamed sources such as that used to justify the illegal US attack and invasion of Iraq. ‘We’ll shoot down US warplanes’: Russia warns coalition jets carrying out air strikes over Syria will be targeted

Russia has ordered the US not to carry out airstrikes on Syrian army positions, warning that sophisticated air defence systems are now up and running.

Putin has ordered the deployment of S-300 and S-400 units in order to protect troops on the ground.

Russia tells U.S. to think ‘carefully’ before hitting Syrian army

Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Thursday the United States should carefully consider the consequences of strikes on Syrian army positions because such strikes would obviously threaten Russian servicemen. Continue reading

Iran deploys long-range missiles to Fordo nuclear site

Protecting nuke facilities is paramount, says Iran air commander as state TV airs images of Russian-made S-300 launchers

TEHRAN, Iran — Tehran has deployed a recently delivered Russian-made long-range missile system to central Iran to protect its Fordo nuclear facility, state television said Sunday.

Protecting nuclear facilities is paramount “in all circumstances” General Farzad Esmaili, the commander of Iran’s air defenses, told the IRIB channel.

“Today, Iran’s sky is one of the most secure in the region,” he added. Continue reading

After bombers, Russian S-400s for Iranian base

And there you have it: A Russian-Turkish-Iranian axis is forming. This will likely bring in Turkey and Iran into the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a world war axis against the United States.

The stage is being set and Ezekiel 38 and 39 are in the making. The SCO, should Iran, Turkey, India and Pakistan be included, will likely form the Biblically prophesied 200 million man army as found in Revelation 9:16.

Russian giant Antonov An-124 air freighters are ready to take off Wednesday, Aug. 17, carrying an array of advanced S-400 and S-300 air defense missiles bound for the new Russian air base just completed at Noji, 50 km from the western Iranian town of Hamedan (Biblical Shushan).

This is reported exclusively by DEBKA file from its military and intelligence sources. Continue reading

Report: Iran Receives First S-300 Missile Shipment From Russia

Iran has received its first shipment of missiles for the sophisticated S-300 air defense system, the Iranian Tasnim media outlet reported Monday.

Russia is supplying Iran with the advanced S-300 PMU2 system rather than the PMU1 system–information that was previously withheld. Moscow began in April delivering the S-300 missile defense system to Tehran, which displayed part of it in a military parade held to mark National Army Day on April 17. The military in August plans to send to the city of Feodosia “a full regiment” of its most advanced air defense system, the S-400 Triumph surface-to-air missile system, according to an article in RT, citing comments from Lt. Col. Evgeny Oleinikov, deputy commander of the 18th missile air defense regiment of the 31 air defense division. Continue reading

Beware What Washington Wishes For – Russia Is Ready For War

The neo-Soviet military mindset on full display:

So foreign ministers from the 28 NATO member-nations met in Brussels for a two-day summit, while mighty military power Montenegro was inducted as a new member.

Global Robocop NATO predictably discussed Afghanistan (a war NATO ignominiously lost); Iraq (a war the Pentagon ignominiously lost); Libya (a nation NATO turned into a failed state devastated by militia hell); Syria (a nation NATO, via Turkey, would love to invade, and is already a militia hell).

Afghans must now rest assured that NATO’s Resolute Support mission – plus “financial support for Afghan forces” – will finally assure the success of Operation Enduring Freedom forever. Continue reading

Russian air defense system sale to Iran will tilt military balance

Iran has begun receiving one of Russia’s most advanced and capable air defense system, the S-300 after years-long delays due to international pressures.

At present it is assessed by NATO to be able to attack aircraft flying as high as 90,000 feet or at ranges of about 100 miles. It also can defend against cruise missiles and some variants can defend against ballistic missiles. Continue reading

4 ways Iran is becoming a Persian Empire

We may be looking at the Biblically prophesied King of the South, as written in the book of Daniel.

https://i2.wp.com/www.trunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/r-728.jpeg

(TRUNEWS) Has the recent lifting of oil sanctions; and their inclusion in the Eurasian Trade Zone, launched Iran toward becoming a modern resurgence of the Persian Empire?

On the Tuesday edition of TRUNEWS, guest Jim Willie mentioned that Iran — who he referred to as Persia — is the 4th leg in an emerging Eurasian Trade Zone with India, China and Russia. This new trade alliance, Willie said, is establishing a ‘New Silk Road” from the ports of Lisbon, Portugal to Vladivostok, Russia and will become the dominant economic system post-US petrodollar.
