Europe must dramatically expand its European Border and Coast Guard force, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker stated during his State of the Union address on September 12.

Any world power with vast overseas commitments must control the seaways necessary for safe passage of its goods, its citizens and its military forces. Why then have Britain and America so casually yielded up this power they once guarded so jealously?
Geography is the most stable factor on which the power of a nation depends.
Two thirds of the Earth’s surface is ocean. Two thirds of its inhabited land embraces the great land mass of Eurasia and Africa. The remainder, which we call the Western Hemisphere, is, by comparison, an island in the midst of the oceans.

Germany has been pushed to the brink. In 2014, it was about to pull Ukraine further from Russia’s orbit to form an alliance with the European Union. More recently, refugees from war-torn Syria and who knows where else have overrun the Continent—more than 1 million of them entered Germany in 2015. In an incredible leap of technological development, the USA has built and fired a laser which has more power than we can imagine (see first link). A facility at Livermore, CA fired a laser beam which “generated more power than the [entire] US does at any single instant.” Think of that! It is now possible to fire a single laser beam which unleashes more power than the entire USA generates or uses at any given time.
Obviously, this has immense military implications. This kind of power, when harnessed and deployed in some kind of laser cannon, will be able to unleash a proverbial “death ray” of incredible power.
When might such a weapon be available? We are not being told. However, the US military will be screening off a section of North Dakota for conducting military laser tests from a large airborne drone (see second link). That story indicates that the laser tests are being done to deploy a new airborne targeting laser capability, and that may be entirely true. However, given the ever-present need to guard the secrecy of new weapons programs, we can all be sure that the military is very likely conducting offensive-weapons tests for lasers as well. Those tests will not be publicly disclosed, we can be sure.
Many media articles and posts to this blog have documented the major military advances and development programs of the nations in the Gog-Magog alliance led by Russia, China and Iran. This alliance, prophesied in Ezekiel 38 to come into existence in the latter days, is rapidly building as many weapons programs as possible to be able to defeat the USA and the western alliance in a future war. The links shown in this post indicate that the USA is also making some very major strides in advanced weapons development and deployments, but it isn’t talking much about them.
When the ultimate “beast” power comes on the scene, it will undoubtedly unveil a variety of very high-tech weaponry which the masses knew nothing about. Revelation 13:4 shows these new weapons systems will be so impressive that they will cause the nations to say “Who is able to make war” with the beast? Advanced laser weaponry will likely be one of those military weapons capabilities unveiled at that time. These links give us just a hint of what is probably being developed behind the scenes even now.

Ten EU foreign ministers participating in a “study group for the future of Europe” aim to exert pressure to transform the EU into a federation along the lines of the US. Together they have prepared what the front-page headline in Die Presse describes as a “Plan for transformation into a European state.” On 19 June, the ten ministers* presented an initial report to the EU officials who will likely benefit the most from the initiative: Commission President José Manuel Barroso, European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi and Eurogroup President Jean-Claude Juncker.
The “study group for the future” initiated by Germany’s Guido Westerwelle, which does not currently include an official French representative, proposes to put an end to the dominance of national government leaders and give greater authority to the European Commission – in particular the European Commission president, who will be elected by universal suffrage and granted the right to form a “governmental team”, making him or her the most powerful politician in Europe.
The group also recommends replacing European councils of ministers and heads of state with a chamber “of states” in the European parliament. National competencies, most notably the management of borders, defence and public spending will be transferred to the federation, “making membership of the euro irreversible.”
Die Presse argues that it is not surprising to see diplomats from countries which have lost all of their influence since the Treaty of Nice, signed in 2001, and even more so since the outbreak of the crisis, make a bid to play a more important role. However, the daily concludes –
A clearly defined democratic system resembling a state would probably not be in accord with the mood of several sections of the population. But everyone who wants to safeguard the euro, the single market and political stability, while preventing a widening wealth gap between the North and the South and a reinforcement of nationalist trends will ultimately accept that it is the best way forward.

Realizing that Sarkozy might not make it to see the next term, she has her backups lined up as Germany wishes to continue steering the continent in its liking, subjugating one neighbor after the next with economic might and political pull.
Last week reports emerged of an alliance between Italy and Germany. This is a harbinger of that final axis that will dominate the European Union from here on.

Readers of the Trumpet would know that we have long expected the weakening of the Franco-German alliance and its ultimate replacement with an Italo-German alliance. This is the “holy” Roman connection with Germany that will inspire the prophesied final rise of the ultimate 10-nation combine set to rule Europe—in reality the seventh and final rise of the Holy Roman Empire.
The Merkel-Monti connection is the resurrection of the historic old Chaldean/Assyrian axis in modern clothes. That “series of joint German-Italian initiatives to promote economic stimulus measures to be discussed at the European Council in June” are but the beginning of a powerful influence that will be exerted soon on the global economy from Rome and Berlin (Revelation 13:16-17).

Created and led by Germany, the “Berlin Club” met for the first time on March 20 in Berlin. There’s a lot we haven’t been told about Europe’s latest club of elitists. What we do know is that it’s the brainchild of German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, that it is comprised of Europe’s most pro-unification states, and that it exists to reinvigorate the unification of Europe.
Germany is joined in the club by Poland, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Luxemburg, Spain, Denmark and France. The select group is scheduled to meet at least four more times to discuss proposals for closer integration, and plans to publish its conclusions in a final report. The club’s agenda is long, and includes discussions about European security and border control, fiscal and economic government, and ways to stabilize growth.
Yesterday, Presseurop translated an article from the Spanish abc newspaper reporting that “10 countries have formed the ‘Berlin Club’ to revive the European project.” According to the abc article, Berlin’s goal is to “create a kind of ‘club’ committed to developing formulas that, in these times of crisis, will revive the ideal of a united Europe” (emphasis added throughout). Since Europe’s financial crisis began in 2008, the EU has been hit with one crisis after another, with each being reported by many as another nail in the coffin of a United States of Europe.
