A senior Pentagon official admitted to the Washington Free Beacon late Monday that Afghan forces allied with U.S. troops in the war-torn country have been caught sexually abusing children.

The admission comes on the heels of reports that the Obama administration has been punishing U.S. soldiers who blew the whistle on this sexual abuse.

U.S. lawmakers early Monday expressed shock and outrage over the report and called on Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Join Chiefs of Staff, to immediately address a policy of ordering U.S. troops to ignore such sexual abuse. Continue reading

U.S. Military Unprepared for Multiplying Threats Abroad

In the foreword to the 2015 National Military Strategy (NMS), Gen. Martin Dempsey, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, writes that the “global security environment is the most unpredictable I have seen in 40 years of service.”“Since the last National Military Strategy was published in 2011, global disorder has significantly increased while some of our comparative military advantage has begun to erode,” he adds.

“When read alongside its predecessor, the 2011 NMS, the new version testifies to the array of strategic surprises that have confronted the Obama administration in recent years,” wrote David Adesnik, policy director at the Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI). Continue reading

US softens on Chinese ADIZ after South China Sea incident: Duowei

To answer a question from a previous post: No, China is not afraid of the United States — and this subtle act of capitulation is one such example as to why. China is slowly taking over Asia at America’s expense.

Washington’s reaction to the ADIZ announcement last month was initially strong, with sternly worded statements from US Secretary of State John Kerry and US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, as well as the dispatch of US B-52 bombers into the new zone. Continue reading

Chinese Naval Vessel Tries to Force U.S. Warship to Stop in International Waters

Do you really think the Chinese are scared of America?

The guided missile cruiser USS Cowpens, which recently took part in disaster relief operations in the Philippines, was confronted by Chinese warships in the South China Sea near Beijing’s new aircraft carrier Liaoning, according to officials familiar with the incident. Continue reading

‘Act of war’: U.S. general gives options for Syria military intervention

Should war break out against Syria, expect it to expand into a war with Iran, which means a regional middle eastern powder keg will explode involving nations such as Saudi Arabia, Israel and Lebanon. Retaliatory strikes by the regime would likely include, and not be limited to, domestic attacks on the US homeland. It’s well documented that Iran’s IRGC as well as handfulls of other known terrorist groups have thousands upon thousands of sleeper cells within America, all waiting for the green light. It will be far from pretty and America, to its own detriment, is not prepared.

Don’t forget about Russia and China weighing in, not necessarily militarily, but economically as well as a potential crippling cyber attack leaving the USA paralyzed and sent to the stone age. Should the Syrian regime use chemical weapons, it would likely be used against Israel — therefore, expect Damascus to be razed, thus fulfilling the Isaiah 17:1 prophecy.

The top U.S. general has set out five options for military intervention in Syria in a non-classified letter made public Monday.

Despite outlining the options, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey stressed that the decision of whether to go to war was one for civilian leaders. Continue reading

Pentagon Stands By Russian Arms Deal

The issue here shouldn’t be over training, it should be that the United States is now relying on Russia for military hardware.

MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti) – The Pentagon has no plans to halt a $550 million deal with Russia to acquire helicopters for the Afghan Special Mission Wing, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff said Thursday.

In late June the Special US Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction urged the Pentagon to put the deal on hold until the unit was fully recruited and properly trained. Continue reading

Under details of the plans obtained by The Associated Press, women could start training as Army Rangers by mid-2015 and as Navy SEALs a year later.

The military services have mapped out a schedule that also will include reviewing and possibly changing the physical and mental standards that men and women will have to meet in order to quality for certain infantry, armor, commando and other front-line positions across the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Under the plans to be introduced Tuesday, there would be one common standard for men and women for each job.
