Every day, Chinese trains take millions of people to various stops around the country. Last year, the government stopped the commuting for a day along one stretch so their troops could conduct exercises designed to ship the People’s Liberation Army to the border via high-speed train, according to National Interest.

China lays bare its military might with an attack on US ambition
What seems to be the case here is not a reduction of military personnel, but a reduction of the truth. The PLA/CCP has never been truthful in regards to military capability, whether it be nuclear forces or military budget, and shouldn’t be expected to now.

The People’s Liberation Army, or PLA, boasts some 850,000 officers spread across seven regional commands, according to the defence report which was issued on Tuesday.

China Holds Landing Exercises in Disputed Seas
BEIJING (AP) — China’s increasingly powerful navy paid a symbolic visit to the country’s southernmost territorial claim deep in the South China Sea this week as part of military drills in the disputed Spratly Islands involving amphibious landings and aircraft.
