Jim Rogers Warns “If Trump Starts A Trade War With China, It Will End US Hegemony”

This is exactly what Global Geopolitics mentioned just a five days ago. The tables have turned on the global playing field and the traditional options once thought to be useful to use against China will now backfire. America will now have to get more creative to once again get ahead in controlling the narrative when it comes to using leverage against its adversaries.

Adding to this, China is likely waiting for such a move to happen, which will benefit the nation in numerous ways:

  • China is a master in state propaganda, will successfully claim it’s the victim of a U.S. economic attack and rally support throughout the nation.
  • China, through provocation, will have produced a reason to retaliate. The trade war begins.
  • Retaliation will be successful due to the weakening of the U.S. positions and strengthening of Chinese leverage. World-wide, this will cause people and nations to question America’s ability to act and standing as the lone global superpower. If the Dollar goes down, the U.S. goes down with it.

Following Treasury Secretary Mnuchin’s threat that the US could impose economic sanctions on China if it does not implement the new sanctions regime against North Korea:

“If China doesn’t follow these sanctions, we will put additional sanctions on them and prevent them from accessing the US and international dollar system, and that’s quite meaningful.”

Expert Jim Rogers Says US is Desperate for Deutsche Bank Funds

The main reason the US government wants $14 billion in penalties from the German bank is that it is deep in debt. They’ve got a gigantic deficit – they are desperate for money. They’ll try to get it anywhere they can, Jim Rogers, financial commentator and investor, told RT.com.

Germany’s Deutsche Bank reportedly failed to reach an agreement with the US on settling a massive fine. The bank is facing a $14 billion fine penalty from the US Justice Department for mis-selling mortgage securities in the run-up to the 2008 financial crisis. Continue reading

Because the Chinese have been studying the cycles. From generational theorists William Strauss and Neil Howe, they have learned that political/cultural cycles last only 65 years, and then they collapse, cycles first observed by Taoist monks and Roman philosophers. And China is exactly 66 years advanced since the Chinese Communist Revolution of 1949. In terms of generational cycles, China is on the eve of destruction. (In terms of the Strauss/Howe theory, so are we.)

The Chinese have been studying Western theories and economic cycles like the Elliott Wave, which suggests that the life cycle of a dominant currency has its limitations, and the American dollar cycle has ended. They have been studying economist Harry Dent, investment gurus Jim Rogers, Marc Faber and libertarian Ron Paul, seen often here only in the shadows, and understand that America is at a full economic transition, potentially a catastrophic cultural turning.

They have been reading Nicholson Baker’s day-by-day account, Human Smoke: The beginnings of WWII, the End of Civilization. They understand fully without Western sentimentality or illusion what comes next at the end of the economic cycle: Total war. Continue reading

Bernanke has set the stage for the Fed’s collapse – Jim Rogers

Gold has not bottomed and the US Federal Reserve will collapse in the next 10 years, says renowned investor Jim Rogers.

“100 years ago you could not have named the head of most central banks in the world,” Rogers told Mineweb. “Now they’re all rockstars.” Gold and equity markets have increasingly been locked in Fed-watch mode in 2013, obsessing over when or whether chairman Ben Bernanke would taper the bank’s vast bond buying scheme. Jim Rogers: An ‘even worse catastrophe’ is coming

Jim Rogers has a two-word message for U.S. investors: “Be careful.”

“The U.S. is the largest debtor nation in the history of the world,” Rogers told CNBC.com Wednesday night by phone from Singapore. “We may well have a big, big rally in the U.S. stock market, but it’s not based on reality. I would encourage investors to know you’re in a fool’s paradise, be careful, and when people start singing praises, say, ‘I’ve been to this party before, and I know know it’s time to leave.'”

“First of all, throughout American history, we’ve always had slowdowns every four to six years. That means that sometime in the next couple of years—three years, maximum—we are going to have problems again, caused by whatever reason,” Rogers said. “For instance, there was 2001 and 2002, and then 2007 and 2009 was much worse. Well, the next time it’s going to be worse still, because the level of debt is so, so, so much higher. Every country is increasing its debt at the same time.”

This is the first time in recorded history that we have every major central bank in the world printing money, so the world is floating on an artificial sea of liquidity. Well, the artificial sea is going to disappear someday, and when it does, the catastrophe will be even worse. Yes, it’s coming,” Rogers reiterated, adding: “If I was smart enough to tell you when it’s going to happen, I would get rich.” Continue reading

Short US Government Bonds ‘Right Now’: Jim Rogers

Being that the USD is being printed up without end, it’s soon to be worthless as well as everything paper that is valued in Dollars. Bonds fall into this category.

With the Federal Reserve and now Bank of Japan printing massive amounts of money, billionaire investor Jim Rogers told CNBC’s “Closing Bell,” he is shorting U.S. government debt.

“It’s all artificial what’s going on right now,” Rogers said. “The Federal Reserve is printing money as fast as they can. The Bank of Japan said ‘we’re going to print unlimited money.'” Continue reading

Jim Rogers: It’s Going To Get Really “Bad After The Next Election”

Rogers, who for years has been an outspoken critic of the Feds policies of “Quantitative Easing,” says the world is “drowning in too much debt.” He put the blame squarely on U.S. and European governments for abusing their “license to print money.” In the U.S. alone, the national debt has surged to nearly $16 trillion, that’s more than $50,000 for every American man, woman and child.

“[They] need to stop spending money they don’t have,” Rogers said. “The solution to too much debt is not more debt… What would make me very excited is if a few people [in the government] went bankrupt…” Rogers added.

“Mrs. Merkel has an election next year,” Rogers said. “Mr. Obama has an election in November. The Americans and the Germans – they want to do everything they can to hold the world up until after the next election.

“It’s going to be bad after the next election.”

How bad? Worse than Rogers predicts, according to a new investigation.

In a newly released documentary that went viral last month, a team of influential economic experts say they have discovered a “frightening pattern” they believe points to a massive economic catastrophe unlike anything ever seen in the history of the world.

“What this pattern represents is a dangerous countdown clock that’s quickly approaching zero,” said Keith Fitz-Gerald, the Chief Investment Strategist for the Money Map Press, who predicted the 2008 oil shock, the credit default swap crisis that helped bring about the recession, and the Greek and European fiscal catastrophe that is still wreaking havoc until this day.

“The resulting chaos is going to crush Americans.”

“And what’s really disturbing about these findings is that the pattern isn’t limited to our economy. We found the same catastrophic pattern in our energy, food, and water systems as well.”

According to Martenson, these systems could all implode at the same time.

“Food, water, energy, money. Everything.”
