Britain’s departure from Europe is a geopolitically significant event. But did you know Bible prophecy said it would happen?

Millions of people decided whether Britain would remain a member of the European Union on June 23. The British people have made their opinion clear.

Did you know that God had an opinion on this subject as well?

In choosing to leave the European Union, the Brits actually brought about an event Bible prophecy foretold was going to happen!

The Coming Blood Moons

Prophecy One: America’s Death Knell

Knowing the identity of nations is the key to understanding end-time prophecy. (You can have this key by requesting a free copy of Herbert Armstrong’s book The United States and Britain in Prophecy.) Old Testament prophecies, for example, spring to life when we understand that the term Israel is referring to modern-day America and the British Commonwealth.

The entire chapter of Ezekiel 33 is a tragic prophecy about Israel’s downfall. In verse 11, God laments the destruction of these people, saying “turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”

US leaves ‘unreliable’ British out in the cold

The British apparently didn’t get the subtle hint of what the future relations with America would be like with Obama running the country when he shipped back a historical bust of Winston Churchill, for unknown reasons. For followers of Bible prophecy, this is likely fulfilling the prophesied split between both America and Britain (part of the “House of Israel”) leading into the end times.

British military chiefs are being ejected from US meetings about Syria in the first direct consequence of David Cameron’s refusal to join military action.
