Germany officially casts off postwar military restraint and promises to help ‘in shaping the global order.’
Germany has gone through a radical transformation in how it views its military. In May 2010, German President Horst Köhler said that “a country of our size needs to be aware that … military deployment, too, is necessary if we are to protect our interests such as ensuring free-trade routes or preventing regional instabilities.” At that time, the idea that Germany would use its army to protect economic interests was so controversial that he was forced to resign.
Vatican Radio is reporting that Bishop Miguel Guixot, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, will meet senior officials of Egypt’s prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo Wednesday, 13 July. The visit comes at the express wish of Pope Francis following his historic meeting with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyib in the Vatican 23 May 2016.
Bible prophecy in the making:
[(Alternative source: European SUPERSTATE to be unveiled: EU nations ‘to be morphed into one’ post-Brexit (Express)]
- France and Germany reported to have drawn up ‘superstate plan’
- It would mean members give up armies and economic power to the EU
- Report ‘leaked’ in Poland where it has been branded ‘not the solution’
- Leaders of Germany, France and Italy said EU was ‘indispensable‘ tonight
Plans for ‘a closer European Union’ have been branded an attempt to create a ‘European superstate’.
Germany’s foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault today presented a proposal for closer EU integration based on three key areas – internal and external security, the migrant crisis, and economic cooperation. Continue reading

Britain’s departure from Europe is a geopolitically significant event. But did you know Bible prophecy said it would happen?
Millions of people decided whether Britain would remain a member of the European Union on June 23. The British people have made their opinion clear.
Did you know that God had an opinion on this subject as well?
In choosing to leave the European Union, the Brits actually brought about an event Bible prophecy foretold was going to happen! Continue reading
Watch the Brexit vote today. Whichever way it goes, it could mark a turning point for Europe and the world.
Britain’s referendum on its membership in the European Union is its most important decision in a generation. But regardless of which option the Brits choose, June 23 could mark a major turning point, both for Britain and for the EU. The referendum is forecast to be close.
The Fate of Europe
Even if Britain votes to stay, it will not deepen its ties with the European Union. Britain has no appetite for handing over more power to Brussels.
ANOTHER German bureaucrat has taken a key role in the EU – sparking comparisons to the Roman Empire’s brutal takeover of Europe.
Markus Winkler, a close ally of President Martin Schulz, will become the deputy Secretary General of the European Commission from November.
With the position of President and Secretary General already taken by Germans, critics have accused Schultz of undermining democracy.
- In 2006, Pope Benedict XVI said what no Pope had ever dared to say — that there is a link between violence and Islam. Ten years later, Pope Francis never calls those responsible for anti-Christian violence by name and never mentions the word “Islam.”
- Pope Francis does not even try to re-evangeize or reconquer Europe. He seems deeply to believe that the future of Christianity is in the Philippines, in Brazil and in Africa. Probably for the same reason, the Pope is spending less time and effort in denouncing the terrible fate of Christians in the Middle East.
- “Multiculturalism” in Europe is the mosque standing on the ruins of the church. It is not the synthesis requested by Pope Francis. It is the road to becoming extinct.
- Asking Europe to be “multicultural” while it experiences a dramatic de-Christianization is extremely risky. In Germany, a new report found that “Germany has become demographically a multi-religious country.” In the UK, a major inquiry recently declared that “Britain is no longer a Christian country.” In France, Islam is also overtaking Christianity as the dominant religion.
To scroll the list of Pope Francis’s apostolic trips — Brazil, South Korea, Albania, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Cuba, United States, Mexico, Kenya, Uganda, Philippines — one could say that Europe is not exactly at the top of his agenda.
Any other doubts that Catholicism is now a cult? As in Islam, another cult, it has been infiltrated, redirected and weaponized.
In an interview published Tuesday with France’s La Croix, Pope Francis argued that Jesus’ call to spread the Gospel differs little from the jihad waged by radical Islamic terrorists.
The pope explained how ISIS’ “war of conquest” has bred a non-justified fear of Islam among Western countries. Continue reading
For over seven decades we’ve forecast the rise of a German-led united states of Europe. Today, other analysts and news writers are beginning to see the same trend develop—and at an alarming pace. Germany’s ascent to the top of Europe came quickly after World War ii and now we’re witnessing the fulfilment of a dream shared by European leaders throughout the centuries: the resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire. On today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show, Stephen Flurry explains what Bible prophecy says about Germany’s rising dominance in Europe. Continue reading
Langley Intelligence Group says yes, and Bible prophecy agrees.
Berlin is working to create an anti-Iran alliance, and its boost in arms sales to Persian Gulf nations portends a shifting military culture, which could soon push Germany itself to rearm, Langley Intelligence Group Network said on April 24.
The report focuses on the “Merkel Doctrine,” as the German media terms it, which refers primarily to Berlin’s efforts to form a balance of power against Iran by arming Sunni Arab nations and Israel. The term is also taking on a secondary meaning about the increasing impetus for Berlin to move toward a more robust use of the German military.
We need to see Pope Francis’s criticisms of Donald Trump, as well as America’s immigration and economic policy, in context.
No moment of the pope’s visit to Mexico in February was more powerful and symbolic than his trip to the American border.
Soon the pope descended to give the first-ever Catholic mass that straddled the border between two countries. About 200,000 people watched from the Mexican side of the border, and around 50,000 from the U.S. Continue reading
Pope Francis is adamantly opposed to free-market capitalism, and he denies being a Marxist. What does this make him? You need to know the answer!
Pope Francis has once again shaken things up on the world scene. He has written a new apostolic exhortation, “The Joy of the Gospel,” which declares an official enemy for the Catholic Church: free-market capitalism.
“Some people continue to defend trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world,” Francis wrote in his exhortation. “This opinion, which has never been confirmed by the facts, expresses a crude and naive trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power and in the sacralized workings of the prevailing economic system.” Continue reading
The International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen will go to Pope Francis, the prize committee announced December 23. The prize is awarded for “exceptional work performed in the service of European unity,” the Charlemagne Prize website says.
While so many of the European Union’s founders saw their work through a Catholic lens, many today do not. Yet at this crucial juncture, as Europe struggles for unity, the one who has been singled out as offering hope for the future is the pope.
From 2011 with relevancy for today:
The West still doesn’t understand how Iran rules the Middle East.
Iran, the number one state sponsor of terrorism by far, has bludgeoned its way into controlling Lebanon and Gaza, and has become the backbone of Syrian terrorism. Iran also bombed and butchered its way into the dominant role in Iraq and Afghanistan (after America thought it had won those wars), and now is empowering the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists to get control of Egypt.
Now America and the West have paved the way for another Iranian victory in Libya. We are rejoicing about the overthrow of Libya’s Muammar Qadhafi, while we should be mourning. Libyan chaos is now the ideal setting for Iran to bring that nation into its deadly terrorist web. The government that replaces Qadhafi will be a thousand times worse.
And you can prove this is going to happen! (More on that later.)
