Why the blind spot for China by the American intelligentsia?

Communist North Korea’s first dictator Kim Il-Sung, left, with Communist China’s first dictator Mao Zedong in 1961.

China remains the darling of western, particularly American, intellectuals and academicians even though under President Xi Jinping it’s reverting to the dictatorial habits of the era of Mao Zedung.

The system is not only incredibly corrupt but also authoritarian. We hear constantly about suppression of free speech, of the arrests of those speaking out against the regime or against particular policies, while serious dissent and political opposition is simply not possible.

The same intellectuals who once berated the U.S. for not moving closer to China, for remaining suspicious of Chinese motives and intentions, for objecting to the role of the Communist Party in a system masked in secrecy, have little to say about the real nature of the regime of Xi Jinping.

CENSORSHIP ALERT: Mozilla planning “kill shot” for entire independent media by blocking all non-approved news in the FireFox browser

Recently, the popular Internet web browser Mozilla Firefox announced that it plans on joining the fight against what it considers to be “fake news,” a term that to leftists means nothing more than news that is written by conservatives. Mozilla said that it was “investing in people, programs and projects” in an effort to “disrupt misinformation online.”

Gestapo is Back: German Homes Raided Over Facebook Posts

Germany has taken its war on “hate speech,” also known as free speech, to the people.

Already Germany has pretty strict laws against citizens using Nazi symbols and denying that the Holocaust happened. Apparently, lawmakers miss the irony of going full Gestapo on citizens for free speech, as offensive as it may be. Continue reading

China’s Secret Plan to Control the Internet | China Uncensored

Hi, welcome to China Uncensored, I’m your host Chris Chappell.

The Internet! Some of you watching may not have even been alive at a time when the Internet wasn’t everywhere. But I remember such a time. When computers were mysterious novelties, completely misunderstood by popular media.

Electric Dreams was popular, right? Anyway, the world has now changed in weird, wild ways. Because Internet. Continue reading

Is Europe Choosing to Self-Destruct?

  • Europe has voluntarily begun the process of giving up its liberal and hard-fought-for freedoms. Free speech no longer exists, only — straight out of totalitarian ideologies — “responsible” free speech: “free” only if it does not “offend” anyone.
  • The desire of many Europeans and other self-declared devotees of “human rights” to cover up, downplay or explain away what is happening in Europe, in fact represents the opposite of respect for others and equality before the law.
  • Absolving such criminal behavior is not only the very opposite of justice, it is also a kind of “inverted racism” — against its own native Europeans.
  • In 2014 and 2015 Jews in Europe were murdered, raped, beaten and stalked — just for being Jewish. Signs in the street read, “Sale Juif” (“dirty Jew”), “Death to the Jews,” and “Jews to the gas.” None of these side effects of Muslim immigration seems to concern the liberals, the media, or the purported defenders of human rights — who so loudly claim to be against “racism.” Or, once again in Europe, does “racism” not include Jews?

After the mass sexual assaults on New Year’s Eve in the European cities of Cologne, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Bielefeld, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Salzburg, Zürich, Helsinki and Kalmar, it is clear that something profoundly disturbing has occurred in Europe. By Sunday, in Cologne alone, 516 women had filed criminal charges — around 40% of them relating to sexual assaults.

When U.S. Steps Back, Will Russia and China Control the Internet?

Some fear foreign powers will fill the void.

The United States is planning to give up its last remaining authority over the technical management of the Internet.

The Commerce Department announced Friday that it will give the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), an international nonprofit group, control over the database of names and addresses that allows computers around the world to connect to each other. Continue reading

Germany Faced with “Loudspeaker Jihad”

A Turkish mosque in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia has begun sounding public calls to prayer from an outdoor loudspeaker system mounted on the roof of the edifice.

Observers believe a precedent has now been established, and that many of the other 3,000 mosques in Germany will soon begin jumping on the muezzin loudspeaker bandwagon. Continue reading

SAVAGE: ‘Putin just did one thing I agree with 100%’

From time to time, the Soviet Union is also a nation of laws. Even if it is a country ran by a highly corrupt intelligence agency, Mr. Savage has a point.

While performing in Russia, pop star Madonna voiced her support for three “performance artists” who are in jail for trashing an Orthodox church building.

“This is not about free speech,” Savage said after praising Putin’s crackdown on these criminals. “Either you have a society of laws, or you have lawlessness.”

“Madonna went to Russia to give a concert,” Savage explained. “The stoners in Russia are no different than the stoners everywhere else,” adding:

You’re allowed to go see an aging grandmother cavorting on the stage.

So while she’s there, Madonna calls for the release of three gangster women in Russia.

I call them gangster women because you won’t believe what they did. The media here made you think they were just punk rockers who were arrested by Putin for being wild and crazy.

But no, that’s not what happened.

They went to the main Russian Orthodox church, stormed the pulpit, performed obscene acts and screamed that the Orthodox Church is too closely tied to Putin.

So Putin had them arrested, and I agree with him 100 percent.

There’s a certain point at which society breaks down unless you control the vermin: the vermin drug addicts, the vermin anarchists and so on. We’ve seen that in our own country.

Russian politicians are not constrained like our petty bureaucrat politicians are.

The deputy prime minister got so mad at Madonna that he said, “Every ex-wh*** tends to lecture everybody with age, especially during world tours and concerts. Either take off the cross or put on your panties.”

These so-called punk rocker performances offended the great majority of the Russian people who belong to the Orthodox Church. Their trial is certainly not about free speech.

Either you have a society of laws, or you have lawlessness.
