The ECM Turning Point — Sept. 30/Oct. 1 — Guns & War?

https://i0.wp.com/www.armstrongeconomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/ECM2015-2020.jpg

The unleashing of Russian firepower in Syria in support of the Syrian government came precisely on the day of the Economic Confidence Model. I have come to learn from observing this model that major world events, whatever the major focus may be, appear to line up with the ECM.

Today’s Turning Point on ECM

Yet today just may mark a very strange event that might be extremely important. Today, Russia gave the US 1 hour notice and began bombing both ISIS and rebels seeking to overthrow the Syrian government. It is extremely curious that this beginning precisely on the day of the ECM. Will this prove to be the start of international war? Continue reading

Greek Deposits Become Eligible For Bail-In On January 1, 2016

The last few nails in the coffin are being driven in by the German-led Troika and soon Greece will be in 100% vassal state mode.

Earlier today, tucked away from the public’s eyes, there was another round of drama involving Greek securities this time focused on Greek senior bank bonds which promptly tumbled back to post-referendum/pre-bailout #3 levels.

The catalyst was Friday’s pronouncement by Jeroen Dijsselbloem who said depositors will be shielded from any losses resulting from the restructuring of the nation’s financial system, but that senior bondholders would certainly be impaired and probably wiped out. In other words, once again the super priority of various classes has been flipped on its head with general unsecured liabilities ending up senior to, well, senior bank claims. Continue reading

EU Council President Donald Tusk Warns of Revolution in Europe

EU Council President Donald Tusk from Poland is shocked by the fierce debate over the Greek bailout in the EU Parliament. He told the FT: “It was the first time that I have seen radical with such emotions. It was almost half the European Parliament. Therefore, I believe that no one is a political winner in this process, not even Germany. “ Continue reading

Cyprus – Greece – Whose Next?

https://i0.wp.com/www.armstrongeconomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/ECM-Greece.jpg

The Sovereign Debt Crisis began with Greece asking for help from the IMF to the day of Pi from the peak in the ECM 2007.15. The EU then crushed Cyrus [sic] to see how they could get away with not paying people or honoring their debts. The Cyprus experiment was the start of the Bail-In that is now a matter of law in just about every country. Continue reading

The Secret Meeting in London to End Cash

I find it extremely perplexing that I have been the only one to report that there is a secret meeting in London where Kenneth Rogoff of Harvard University and Willem Butler the chief economist at Citigroup will address the central banks and advocate the elimination of all cash to bring to fruition the day when you cannot buy or sell anythhing without government approval. When I Googled the issue to see who has picked it up yet, to my surprise Armstrong Economics comes up first. Others are quoting me, and I even find it spreading as the Central Bank of Nigeria, but I have yet to find reports on the meeting taking place in London when my sources are direct. Continue reading

The Coming Crash of All Crashes – but in Debt

http://i1.wp.com/armstrongeconomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/money-stock-1980-2011.png

Why are governments rushing to eliminate cash? During previous recoveries following the recessionary declines from the peaks in the Economic Confidence Model, the central banks were able to build up their credibility and ammunition so to speak by raising interest rates during the recovery. This time, ever since we began moving toward Transactional Banking with the repeal of Glass Steagall in 1999, banks have looked at profits rather than their role within the economic landscape. They shifted to structuring products and no longer was there any relationship with the client. This reduced capital formation for it has been followed by rising unemployment among the youth and/or their inability to find jobs within their fields of study. The VELOCITY of money peaked with our ECM 1998.55 turning point from which we warned of the pending crash in Russia. Continue reading

The Shift in Public Confidence: 2015.75

ECM-Wave-2011-2020

There are many aspects that are lining up with the turn in the ECM (Economic Confidence Model) from the Blood Moon and the Jewish Year for forgiving the debts, to France imposing restrictions on cash in September, and even in Germany the laws that protected about half a million people so-called dachas there in East Germany expire. To date, a law protecting the tenant against dismissal by the municipality will also expire October 3, 2015. Everywhere we look, there are changes coming to a head, right down to the U.S. Federal budget with 2015.75. Continue reading

The New Age of Economic Totalitarianism & the London Meeting to End Currency

I have been warning that the governments of the West are in severe trouble. We face the worst economic crisis perhaps in modern history with the distinct risk of moving into a state of Economic Totalitarianism. The governments are well aware of the Economic Confidence Model (ECM). Many people have asked the question why have they not killed me since it appears that most others central to events covered in the movie, the FORECASTER, are dead. I believe the answer is rather simple, for even when I was released and appeared on Capitol Hill, I was introduced as this is the guy with the model they are trying to suppress.

Government is not a single entity. The forces I stood up against were restricted to the corruption in New York City. The New Yorker Magazine was able to get in to interview me only by going to Washington. And when I was thrown in the hole, it was a letter from Congress asking who ordered that treatment resulted in my instant release. And as for my release from contempt, that only took place when the Supreme Court ordered the government to respond to my petition for then the Solicitor General is the only one who can argue before the Supreme Court, not the corrupt prosecutors from New York City. So it is never just a single entity we call government. There are always internal forces that fight over the crumbs of power like pigeons on the ground under the tables at a sidewalk cafe.

I have advised many governments in my life so there are those on the economic side of power who are well aware of what I stand for, not merely the prosecutors who salivate over the opportunity to take down someone famous to further their personal careers. I was perhaps the first and only analyst or Forecaster to be invited by the Bank of China to fly to Beijing during the Asian Currency Crisis back in 1997. I may even be the only analyst who has ever had such experience on a truly global scale. I have been just about everywhere and at times it has appeared that if there was a crisis, somehow I seemed to be dragged in by some government somewhere. There is scarcely a major nation who is not aware of the ECM. Continue reading

Greece Seizing all Public Funds in Country – Here we Go

http://i2.wp.com/armstrongeconomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/IBSFEU-FOR-M-4-20-2015.jpg

The computer is starting to really pick up October lining up with the ECM for 2015.75. Now the Greek government issued a decree that forces local governments to transfer all cash balances to the central bank, as debt to the International Monetary Fund and salaries are due. Continue reading

ECB Riots Trash Frankfurt, Turning into War Zone

http://i0.wp.com/armstrongeconomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Frankfurt-Protests.jpeg

The violent protests downtown Frankfurt simply paralyzed the city. Barricades were burning everywhere and at least 90 policemen were injured. The city of Frankfurt, normally the obedient Germans would never act in such a manner, yet the city was reduced to a war zone. No doubt they will be looking at further restrictions now on the free movement of people for protests within Europe. This has been talked about quietly and the mere fact this subject has already come up shows that the Euro idea is a total failure This would be akin to preventing Americans from march to Washington, DC. The Euro – Destined for 80 cents?

ANSWER: Yes. The Euro will make a new historic low under 82 cents which was the 2000 intraday low. The lowest annual closing came in 2001. My concern is two-fold. The Break-Line reaches 80 cents on the next 8.6 year wave. But the computer is showing an unbelievable series of Directional Changes for 4 years – the entire down-wave of the ECM. Then we see a Panic Cycle in 2021. This is NOT going to be a very easy period to grasp. We are in for a hell of a choppy period ahead that will swing wildly. Continue reading

Overall State of the Union – Unbiased Economics

The definition of the “rich” has become anyone who has investment income. Home ownership has declined since mortgages generally now want 20% down and taxes have risen. Of course, the socialists say this is not fair and the rich are getting richer yet this is not income from wages, but rather investment. The gains go predominantly to mutual funds and pensions not to mention foreign investment since retail participation has also declined since the Great Recession. This means the yelling and screaming is by no means reflecting a purely domestic situation. Furthermore, had Congress privatized Social Security long ago, then those funds would have been invested in the stock market so the very people they say are not participating would have a stake in the economy.
