Dmitry Medvedev, speaking in an interview with the Kommersant daily broadcast by Russian state television, called NATO’s plans to offer membership to Georgia in the future “absolutely irresponsible” and a “threat to peace,” the Associated Press reports.

“There is an unresolved territorial conflict … and would they bring such a country into the military alliance?” Medvedev said. “Do they understand the possible implications? It could provoke a horrible conflict.” Continue reading

The Vatican’s Relations with Islam

  • “They are driving us out of the Middle East,” declared Pope Francis on returning from Turkey.
  • “[I]t would be beautiful if all Islamic leaders, whether they are political, religious or academic leaders, would speak out clearly and condemn this because this would help the majority of Muslim people.” — Pope Francis, counseling Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
  • While this welcoming stance is in keeping with the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic faith, the Pope as the “Good Shepherd” has an obligation to protect his flock from the militants among the refugees.
  • Within the Catholic Church, there also exists a sub-dominant counter-melody that warns about Islamic hostility to the values of Judeo-Christian civilization.
  • Cardinal Sarah targets what he refers to as “Islam’s pseudo-family values which legitimize polygamy, female subservience, sexual slavery, and child marriage.”
  • At some point, the Catholic Church might raise the issue of persecution of Christian minorities in Muslim-majority countries at international fora such as the United Nations. The Church also could publicly ask Muslims of good will to express their solidarity with the persecuted and request international organizations to intervene to protect Christians.
  • Given the centuries of hostility between Christendom and dar-al-Islam (the World of Islam), the Vatican’s caution may be understandable, but is ill-advised and no longer tenable.

Perhaps, in the light of the harm dhimmitude can do to both civic life and faith, the Catholic Church might re-assess its stance toward Islam from one of friendly engagement to cautionary disengagement. As radical jihadists continue to martyr Christians throughout the world, such a re-evaluation of Islam by the Vatican seems appropriate. Continue reading

Something big is underway on all fronts: “Within the next few weeks the future of the united states will be decided”

Congress gave the green light to send weapons and munitions to Ukraine; the “holdup” is due to Obama not wanting to jeopardize the election of Hillary Clinton

As of this writing, the increased U.S. troop presence in Eastern Europe includes a battalion-sized element of American troops being emplaced in the Suwalki Gap, Polish territory that borders Lithuania in a 60-mile stretch of corridor.  The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 600 Russian and Belarussian airborne troops conducted training exercises in Brest, on the Belorussian-Polish border only a few miles from where the U.S. forces are deploying in Poland.  This on the heels of Britain deploying 800 men, tanks, and jets to Estonia, along with pledges of Challenger 2 tanks, APC’s (Armored Personnel Carriers), and drones.  Two companies of French and Danish Soldiers will join the British in the deployment to Estonia. YOU’VE GONE TOO FAR: Eastern Europe makes five demands to block EU superstate

THE European Union appeared more fractured than ever today after a powerful group of eastern states laid down a series of demands over migration and the economy.

Members of the influential Visegrad group, which comprises of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, rejected migrant quotas and blasted the overbearing EU Commission with an incendiary ultimatum.

The group represents a faction of nations which have become increasingly concerned by authoritarian Brussels, with Poland and Hungary both locked in bitter legal battles with the EU.

US spy agencies are significantly expanding operations against Russia

American intelligence agencies are diverting counterterrorist resources to Russian accounts, prompting some commentators to describe the move as the greatest expansion of spy operations against Russia since the Cold War. In a leading article published on Wednesday, The Washington Post’s Greg Miller cites unnamed United States officials in describing “a shift in resources across spy services”. The shift allegedly reflects an increasing emphasis on Russia, with many of the resources coming from accounts focusing on terrorism threats and war zones in the Middle East and Central Asia, which were created in the aftermath of 9/11. ‘NATO will be punished’ Russian diplomat threatens nuclear war over exercises in E Europe

BRITAIN and its NATO allies face the prospect of nuclear annihilation if the West continues to “encroach on Russia” with expanded exercises in Eastern Europe, according to a top Kremlin official.

But Sergey Karaganov, who sits on the influential Foreign Policy and Defence Council of the Russia Foreign Ministry, said NATO’s actions would be met by a fierce response.

He said: “The help offered by NATO is not symbolic help for the Baltic states. It is a provocation.

“If NATO initiates an encroachment – against a nuclear power like ourselves – it will be punished.”

Fundamental Readjustment

BERLIN (Own report) – Just a few days before the NATO summit opens in Poland’s capital Warsaw, German think tanks are not only pushing for stationing combat troops at Russia’s borders but even for the expansion of the West’s nuclear arsenal. A “revision” of NATO’s “nuclear strategy” is “urgently needed,” because, vis à vis Moscow, for a “credible deterrence” a “nuclear component” is necessary, explained the CDU-affiliated Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The German government’s main military policy think tank, the Federal College for Security Studies (BAKS) is also calling for the transatlantic alliance to reach a “new strategic nuclear consensus,” to contain Russia, the “anti-western power.” The implementation of the missile defense system in NATO’s eastern European member countries is also explained with Moscow’s alleged “aggressivity” and the derived need for “deterrence.” The western military alliance demonstrates its “political capability to take action” against Russia, by its “close involvement” of the formally neutral countries Sweden and Finland “in NATO processes,” according to the author. Besides, both think tanks admit their commitment to militaristic “global crisis management.” According to the Adenauer Foundation, NATO must be able to address and “neutralize threats wherever they arise.” The think tank explicitly considers the “flow of migrants” in this category.

Has Britain avoided a ‘European superstate’? France and Germany ‘draw up plans to morph EU countries into one with control over members’ armies and economies’

Bible prophecy in the making:

[(Alternative source: European SUPERSTATE to be unveiled: EU nations ‘to be morphed into one’ post-Brexit (Express)]

  • France and Germany reported to have drawn up ‘superstate plan’
  • It would mean members give up armies and economic power to the EU
  • Report ‘leaked’ in Poland where it has been branded ‘not the solution’
  • Leaders of Germany, France and Italy said EU was ‘indispensable‘ tonight

Plans for ‘a closer European Union’ have been branded an attempt to create a ‘European superstate’.

US commander warns NATO couldn’t repel Russian Baltic invasion

NATO would currently be unable to protect the Baltics against a Russian attack, the commander of US ground forces in Europe, General Ben Hodges, said in a news report Wednesday.

“Russia could take over the Baltic states faster than we would be able to defend them,” Hodges was quoted as saying in a German-language article by news weekly Die Zeit.

The general said he agreed with an assessment by military analysts who claimed that Russian forces could conquer the capitals of Baltic states Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia within 36 to 60 hours. Continue reading

Russia is preparing for WAR and could DEMOLISH Eastern Europe in 60 hours, report warns

It sure is a boost of confidence to know NATO is bolstering its frontline with hundreds of troops good for a small-scale attack, whereas tens of thousands of Russian troops are ready to pour in for a large-scale attack.

This is exactly one of a few reasons why we’re seeing the rise of an EU Army, led by Germany’s Fourth Reich. NATO is proving itself to be an unreliable joke.

Russia Prepares for War

RUSSIA could launch an invasion in eastern Europe within “hours”, Poland and the Baltic states fear, amid an escalation in tensions between Nato and the Kremlin.

Deployments along Russia’s western border have increased in recent months, worrying Nato and its allies that the movements could be a cover for another Crimea-style land grab.

Asked about the likelihood of Russian aggression, Lithuania’s Defence Minister Juozas Olekas said: “We cannot exclude it … They might exercise on the borders and then switch to invasion in hours.”

China Orders 1,000 Heavy Transport Aircraft “Based On The Experience Of The United States And Russia”

You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

Ezekiel 38: 16

As tensions escalate to dangerous levels in the South China Sea and in eastern Europe, an interesting decision has been made be the Chinese government.

According to Sputnik, back in January the People’s Liberation Army Air Force was preparing to develop a new fleet of stealth fighters and heavy transport aircraft. The heavy transport aircraft, the Xian Y-20 transport, was going to be built in order to give Beijing a “fast and reliable platform” to deliver arms and soldiers over long distances. Cold War Headlines Returns: “Risk Of Nuclear Dirty Bomb Surges On Poor US-Russia Relations”

The military provocations between NATO and Russia reached a new post-cold war high yesterday when Poland became the host to the largest joint NATO war game in eastern Europe since the end of the cold war. The purpose of the massive drill, according to the Guardian, is for NATO “partner countries to mount a display of strength as a response to concerns about Russia’s assertiveness and actions.” The 10-day military exercise dubbed Anaconda-2016, involves 31,000 troops and thousands of vehicles from 24 countries.

The massive war games also play well with the current right-wing government in Warsaw which frequently argues that NATO must permanently deploy troops in eastern Europe to deter what the bloc keeps calling “Russian assertiveness.” Continue reading

Beware What Washington Wishes For – Russia Is Ready For War

The neo-Soviet military mindset on full display:

So foreign ministers from the 28 NATO member-nations met in Brussels for a two-day summit, while mighty military power Montenegro was inducted as a new member.

Global Robocop NATO predictably discussed Afghanistan (a war NATO ignominiously lost); Iraq (a war the Pentagon ignominiously lost); Libya (a nation NATO turned into a failed state devastated by militia hell); Syria (a nation NATO, via Turkey, would love to invade, and is already a militia hell).

Afghans must now rest assured that NATO’s Resolute Support mission – plus “financial support for Afghan forces” – will finally assure the success of Operation Enduring Freedom forever. Continue reading
