It’s time to acknowledge the war on Christianity

Why do Westerners behave oddly when it’s Christians being murdered abroad? Photo: Fairfax Media

We live in an age of martyrs. Also, an age of wilful ignorance. When Christians are killed for being Christians, politicians overlook it and public interest fades.

Those few of us in the West who still go to church don’t realise how lucky we are. Others are dying for the right to do that.

On Palm Sunday two bombings in Egyptian churches killed at least 44 people. The targets were Coptic Christians.

In one case, the bomb was situated at the front of the church, tearing through pews and bodies. Continue reading

Churches in Turkey on the Verge of Extinction

While Eastern Orthodox Christians recently celebrated their Easter holy week, a historical Church in Istanbul — the once magnificent Christian city of Constantinople — is witnessing yet another abuse at the hands of its current authorities.

“The historic Istanbul cathedral and museum, Hagia Sophia, witnessed its first Quran recitation under its roof after 85 years Saturday,” reported the state-run Anatolian News Agency of Turkey. “The Religious Affairs Directorate launched the exhibition “Love of Prophet,” as part of commemorations of the birth of Islamic Prophet Muhammad.” Continue reading

Blood Moon With Total Lunar Eclipse & Eerie Biblical Message Rising Over U.S. Easter Weekend

For more background info on this and what what it means, please see the Blood Moons tag or the Bible Prophecy category.

(CBS SF) — Get ready to feast your eyes on an extra special and rare total lunar eclipse Saturday morning that has some Christians worried this Easter weekend.

For the third time in less than a year, the moon will dip into Earth’s shadow, turning its bright white globe a deep coppery red in a matter of minutes.

The action begins at 3:16 a.m. PST on the morning of April 4 when the edge of the moon first enters the amber core of Earth’s shadow. Continue reading

Easter ‘Blood Moon’ to turn sky red this weekend – but was it predicted in the Bible?

Only God knows what the future holds with Blood Moons. However, don’t be surprised if you wake up on Easter Sunday to the news of a sham Iranian ‘nuclear deal’ being reached. It will threaten Israel’s existence and endanger the world over. Perhaps it will be something else, such as a market crash the following Monday, or maybe nothing at all. It’s in God’s hands as he is in full control at all times.

This is not to say the end of the world is coming and the sky is falling — because it’s not –, however, Blood Moons are not a coincidence or a crackpot conspiracy. Whether one believes it is to their benefit or detriment. Like a watchman, Global Geopolitics only warns that the sword is coming and it’s not an issue of ‘if’ but ‘when’. The rest is on you. Get your house in order and get right with God.

Blood Moons are indeed Biblically tied:

Genesis 1:14

Joel 2:30-31

Matthew 2:1-2

Matthew 2:9-10

Matthew 24:29-30

Luke 21:11

Luke 21:25-28

Revelation 6:12-17

Revelation 8:12

Revelation 16:8-9

Blood Moons—Do They Fulfill Bible Prophecy?

The moon is set to turn blood red this weekend in an event some pastors are claiming was predicted by the Bible as a sign of Christ’s return.

The ‘Blood Moon’ is a rare celestial event which will see the skies over North America, Asia and Australia be transformed into a deep, red colour. Continue reading

Happy Easter from Global Geopolitics

30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.

Acts 17: 30 – 31

Pope Benedict XVI in shock resignation

Pope Benedict XVI is to resign at the end of this month after nearly eight years as the head of the Catholic Church, saying he is too old to continue at the age of 85.

The unexpected development – the first papal resignation in nearly 600 years – surprised governments, Vatican-watchers and even his closest aides.

The Vatican says it expects a new Pope to be elected before Easter. Continue reading
