The July 16 summit in Helsinki, Finland, between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin offers a unique opportunity to de-escalate Cold War 2.0 between the United States and Russia.

Ahead of the summit, several reports have detailed a new alarming trend of Moscow’s rapid modernization efforts to improve its westernmost military facilities in Kaliningrad, a strategic enclave of Russian territory situated between Poland and the Baltics.

Last month, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) published satellite images revealing significant upgrades to a nuclear weapons storage bunker situated at a secret facility in Kaliningrad. Continue reading

Trump’s national strategy speech puts China, Russia on the defensive

U.S. President Donald Trump labeled China and Russia ‘rival powers’ to the United States in a Dec. 18 speech. / AP

U.S. major media gave secondary play to President Donald Trump’s national security strategy address Monday, but certain world leaders were all ears.

Russia said the U.S. strategic plan has an “imperial character,” while China decried what it called a “Cold War mentality.”

Trump’s strategy, which he unveiled in a Dec. 18 speech, says that China and Russia “challenge American power, influence, and interests, attempting to erode American security and prosperity.” Continue reading

Russia plans to create an ‘independent internet’ by 2018 to protect it from ‘global internet malfunctions’ – but critics say the plan could make it easier to launch its own attacks

The Russian government has revealed plans to develop an ‘independent internet’ that operates separately from the Domain Name System used worldwide. According to Russian news site RT, Russian President Vladimir Putin (pictured) is targeting August 1, 2018 for its completion

  • Russian Security Council met in October to discuss an ‘independent internet’
  • Would cover Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa with alternative DNS
  • Currently, a global Domain Name System (DNS) is used to connect to internet
  • While they cited security concerns, others suggest it could be used maliciously

The Russian government has revealed plans to develop an ‘independent internet’ that operates separately from the Domain Name System used worldwide.

During a recent meeting of the Russian Security Council, officials discussed an initiative to create an alternative to the DNS, claiming the move could protect Russia and a handful of other nations in the event of a large-scale cyberattack. Continue reading

US Air Force Admits To Harvesting Russian Tissue

An update from yesterday’s post “Why is Russian DNA Being Collected?

A day after Russian President Vladimir Putin surprised members of Russia’s human rights council by informing them that some shadowy entity – possibly with ties to the United States – had been collecting biological tissues from Russians from different ethnic groups, the group responsible for harvesting the tissue has revealed itself.

While some initially discounted Putin’s remars as another loony conspiracy theory, as it turns out, he was right: The group responsible for the tissue collection was none other than the US Air Force, proving that yet another conspiracy theory has become a conspiracy fact. Continue reading

Why is Russian DNA Being Collected?

Why is Russian DNA Being Collected?

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the DNA of Russians is being collected by foreign agents, perhaps for the purpose of developing “ethnic bioweapons.”

In a recent speech to a human rights gathering, Russian President Vladimir Putin made the claim that “U.S. special services agents” were collecting DNA samples from Russians of different ethnic groups as part of the development of a possible ethno-biological weapon.

“Do you know that the biological material is collected all over the country for different ethnic groups and peoples living in different geographical area of the Russian Federation? The question is why they are doing it, and they are doing it purposefully and professionally,” he said. “We are an object of great interest. Of course, we do not need to have any fear about it. Let them do whatever they want, and we must do what we have to do.” Continue reading

Caught On Video: Russian, NATO Jets In Near Standoff After F-16 Buzzes Defense Minister’s Airplane

A day after a Russian fighter allegedly flew within 5 feet of a US reconnaissance plane traveling over the Baltic Sea, Reuters reports that a NATO F-16 fighter jet returned the favor when it tried to improperly approach a plane carrying the Russian defense minister. The plane was traveling to the city of Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave along the Baltic coast, where Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu was scheduled to discuss security issues with defense officials on Wednesday. The NATO aircraft was warded off by a Russian Su-27 jet, according to RT.

In an accounting of the incident, Reuters notes that one of the Russian fighter jets escorting Shoigu’s plane had inserted itself between the defense minister’s plane and the NATO fighter and “tilted its wings from side to side to show the weapons it was carrying, Russian agencies said.” After that the F-16 promptly left the area. Could Russia’s Unwavering Alliance with Syria Start WW3?

Could Russia’s Unwavering Alliance with Syria Start WW3?

Vehicles belonging to forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi explode after an air strike by coalition forces, along a road between Benghazi and Ajdabiyah March 20, 2011.

Russia’s unwavering support of Syria, even after the Chemical attack, killing over 70, could draw the conclusion that war could be on the horizon.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov cited the opinion of the Russian military, which said the contamination may have been caused by damage to a rebel chemical weapons storage site.

“You have heard the statement from the Russian Defense Ministry and I have nothing to add to the facts they stated. The Russian Federation and its military are continuing the operation to support the anti-terrorism operation and liberation of the country, which is being conducted by the Syrian armed forces,” Peskov said. Ahead of the upcoming meeting between Presidents Putin and Erdogan, which is set to start later on Friday in Moscow, political analysts from both countries have indicated certain hidden hazards which might hinder the negotiations.

Earlier on Thursday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that President Putin, among others, plans to discuss the conflict settlement process in Syria and Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov’s assassination in talks with Erdogan. Continue reading

Russian Military Expert: ‘We Are Quietly Seeding The U.S. Shoreline With Nuclear Mole Missiles’

If you take this for a joke, you should really think twice about how you react, and consider the following facts:

First, when JFK was still alive, he mentioned during a dinner conversation to a reporter that the Soviets had a nuclear device at their embassy in Washington, DC, just blocks away from the White House. If relations turned sour, the United States would be decapitated in one blow.

Second, reading the book “Spetsnaz. The Story Behind the Soviet SAS” by the highest ranking Soviet defector during the Cold War, Viktor Suvorov, is a creepy eye opener which brings to light signs and indicators of how World War IV (III is the Cold War) will begin. If you want to jump right to it instead of reading the book in its entirety, you can save yourself time by reading the 15th chapter, “Spetsnaz’s First World War.” However, to understand how the 15th chapter came to this, you have to read the previous 14 give insight into how Russians think, how Spetsnazs are groomed and what mission(s) they’re on — and their ultimate goal: Toppling America.

It’s worth your read and you might come to the realization that the world is in the most danger it’s ever been, even more so than the Cold War. Why’s that? Because even during the Cold War, America wasn’t asleep like it was today, thinking everything is just fine and dandy.

This isn’t a joke. The Russians love useful idiots who scoff at the idea they’re not in danger. Should America continue disarming or not modernize and rebuild, it’s going to receive its first major defeat — if it’s lucky enough to survive and see it. This isn’t fear mongering, this is pragmatism, and you likely won’t be able to even fathom or conceptualize what was written here unless you’ve been brushing up on Soviet ideology, history and such for years.

Viktor Baranetz (Source: Oxpaha.ru)

On February 28, Russian military expert Viktor Baranetz, a retired colonel and former defense ministry spokesman, published an article in the Russian tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda titled “Trump-Pump-Pump And Our Big Bang.” In the article, Baranetz asserted that Russia has asymmetrical responses to the increase in the U.S. military budget. According to Baranetz, Russia is “quietly ‘seeding’ the U.S. shoreline with nuclear ‘mole’ missiles” that “dig themselves in and ‘sleep’ until they are given the command” to detonate.

However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed these claims. In response to a journalist’s question on Baranetz’s article, Peskov said: “This sounds strange, to say the least, and so I would suggest that you not take newspaper reports like this seriously.”[1]

Following are excerpts from Baranetz’s article:[2]

“Our Asymmetrical Response Is Nuclear Warheads”

“The U.S. is the permanent ‘world champion’ in the size of its military budget – almost $600 billion, which is 10 times more than Russias. Even if we add together the military budgets of the top ten countries in the world, they would not reach the American budget! Now it turns out that even that is not enough for Donald Trump. He intends to increase defense expenditure by $54 billion. This money would be enough to maintain five Polish armies. Or 10 Ukrainian ones. Continue reading

Kremlin Warns Of Response To Latest US Sanctions, Says “Almost All Communication With US Is Frozen”

In response to the latest imposition of US sanctions on Russia, the Kremlin said on Wednesday that the new sanctions would further damage relations between the two countries and that Moscow would respond with its own measures. “We regret that Washington is continuing on this destructive path,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call.

As a reminder, on Tuesday the United States widened sanctions against Russian businessmen and companies adopted after Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the conflict in Ukraine.

“We believe this damages bilateral relations … Russia will take commensurate measures.” Continue reading

World War III has already begun: Cyber-war underway as biggest military build-up continues

While the article is correct in world war already having begun in the cyber theater, it’s wrong about one thing: World War III was the Cold War. We’re moving towards World War IV.

Please see the source for the video.

WORLD War III has already begun in cyberspace, experts said today.

With nations across the globe stockpiling weapons on a scale not seen for decades, 2017 could see the cold war develop into a full scale conflict costing millions of lives.

Already largely due to Vladimir Putin’s sabre-rattling, China’s increasing belligerence and a new USA with Donald Trump at the helm a country as peace-loving as Sweden has been placed on a war footing. Continue reading

Did the White House Declare War on Russia?

(ANTIMEDIA) This past week, America’s oldest continuously published weekly magazine, the Nation, asked the question: has the White House declared war on Russia?

As the two nuclear powers sabre-rattle over conflicts within Syria, and to some extent, over the Ukrainian crisis, asking these questions to determine who will pull the trigger first has become more paramount than it was at the peak of the Cold War.

The Nation’s contributing editor, Stephen F. Cohen, reported Vice President Joe Biden’s statement that the White House was preparing to send Vladimir Putin a “message” — most likely in the form of a cyber attack — amounted to a virtual “American declaration of war on Russia” in Russia’s eyes. Biden’s threat is reportedly in response to allegations that Russia hacked Democratic Party offices in order to disrupt the presidential election. Continue reading

The following is a list detailing Russia’s military drills during October:[1]

Admiral Kuznetsov Aircraft Carrier

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, currently en route to Syria, will unlikely be involved in exerting control over the skies over Syria. Peskov said: “I do not think that it is necessary to keep somebody away, [or that] somebody can attack [the Syrian government forces] … as there are enough instruments to control the skies, to control the safety of our temporary infrastructure in Syria, which is why there is no such opportunity.” (Sputniknews.com, October 22) Continue reading

“We all have a shared interest in ensuring that the Minsk agreements do not remain meaningless pieces of paper. And Russia is interested because, as President Putin has stated many times, we want to see a stable, prosperous, friendly and predictable Ukraine, as the people of our two countries are close, whatever may have been,” Peskov told a Russian TV channel yesterday, October 22. World War 3 Update: Russia Tells US Get Ready for War

Russian military experts have threatened the United States and asked it to be prepared for World War 3 to commence soon.

Where America is blaming Russia for the Syria conflict, Russia has accused the US of “unprecedented threats” and “borderline insolence” on Sunday. This has come following the failure of attempts of talks on the ceasefire in Syria. Continue reading
