Obama Allies Scheme to Kneecap Trump’s New National Security Team

Organizations and individuals entrenched in the Obama administration’s pro-Iran echo chamber are engaging in a new plot to defame top White House national security officials, a campaign that mirrors a successful effort by these same groups to oust former Trump administration National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, according to sources familiar with the new effort.

After targeting Flynn, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former senior Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka, organizations closely tied to the Obama administration are setting their sites on National Security Adviser John Bolton and his newly formed team.

Federally Funded U.S. Institute for Peace Hosts Pro-Hamas Tunisian Group

 

A pro-Hamas leader of Tunisia’s Muslim Brotherhood-linked Ennahda Party met last month with the federally funded U.S. Institute for Peace (USIP) in Washington.

The Nov. 29 meeting covered the relationship between Islam and democracy in the light of Ennahda’s 10^th Party Congress in May 2016, the Ennahda Abroad Facebook page said. There, the group agreed to stop trying using electoral politics to achieve its religious objectives. This change of tactics likely was caused by Ennahda’s 2014 defeat in Tunisian elections.

‘There is an ongoing war to bring this nation to its knees’

Talk-radio host Michael Savage is calling on Congress to investigate “subversive,” left-wing groups he believes are trying to destroy America.

Savage, who met with Trump last week for about an hour at the president’s club Mar-a-Lago in South Florida, on Friday told the listeners of his nationally syndicated show, “The Savage Nation,” he wants to see an investigative committee focus on groups that may be engaged in “espionage, treason, sedition or sabotage.”

He named the ACLU, Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Southern Poverty Law Center as among the organizations that should be probed, calling billionaire activist George Soros the “head of the snake” that is funding many of the most subversive groups.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) successfully presents itself to the media as a benign civil rights organization, comparable to the NAACP or the ADL, a description that conservatives ineffectively rail against. In this light, perhaps a tweet sent out just after midnight EST on Nov. 9 by Hussam Ayloush, long-time head of CAIR’s Los Angeles office, will help awaken the press to CAIR’s true Islamist identity. President Obama continues to alienate his allies.

American Muslim leaders met privately with United States President Barack Obama at the White House last week. President Obama entertained the 14 leaders for more than an hour behind closed doors. The president initially refused to report who the Muslim leaders were. When the list finally came out, it was apparent why he did not want to release the names.

‘Muslim voters have the potential to be swing voters in 2016,” said Nihad Awad in launching the benign-sounding U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations, whose membership reads like a Who’s Who of Brotherhood front groups.

“We are aiming to bring more participation from the Muslim community.”

USCMO also aims to elect Islamists in Washington, with the ultimate objective of “institutionalizing policies” favorable to Islamists — that is, Shariah law.
