Pew report: Islam to overtake Christianity as world’s No. 1 religion by 2050

Islam will be the world’s No. 1 religion, surpassing Christianity by the end of the century, according to a Pew Research Center study.

Pew projects that the Muslim population will grow by 70 percent worldwide between 2015 and 2060, compared with an overall population growth of 32 percent. That far exceeds the projected growth of the second- and third-fastest growing religions, Christianity and Hinduism, the study said.

The study also said that the Muslim population in the United States will double by 2050. Continue reading

It’s time to acknowledge the war on Christianity

Why do Westerners behave oddly when it’s Christians being murdered abroad? Photo: Fairfax Media

We live in an age of martyrs. Also, an age of wilful ignorance. When Christians are killed for being Christians, politicians overlook it and public interest fades.

Those few of us in the West who still go to church don’t realise how lucky we are. Others are dying for the right to do that.

On Palm Sunday two bombings in Egyptian churches killed at least 44 people. The targets were Coptic Christians.

In one case, the bomb was situated at the front of the church, tearing through pews and bodies. Continue reading

Western Democracy Gone Mad

For decades, but especially following the U.S. overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001 and the invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003, the U.S. government has tried to promote the establishment of democracies in the Middle East, North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, and elsewhere around the globe.

This should come as no surprise.  Centers for the Study of Democracy have become an integral feature of universities throughout the United States and Western Europe.  They replaced older schools of realpolitik that used to be taught.  Professors, politicians, and international organizations aggressively promote the doctrine of democracy. Muslim mob torch and loot Christian homes and strip pensioner naked in street

The 300-strong mob stripped the 70-year-old woman naked over a rumour her son had an affair with a Muslim woman, the local church and witnesses said.

Islamic State attack on Italy coming

This was also mentioned a few weeks back by Muammar Gaddafi’s cousin and also makes one wonder why Pope Francis keeps hinting he won’t be around for long. A normal reaction would be to bolster up security yet he doesn’t seem to care.

It also should be remembered that Greece, the gateway for immigration to Europe, had threatened the entire continent with opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants and giving them a pass directly to Berlin, which is essentially one step away from declaring war or being a complicit state-sponsor of terrorism.

The Islamic State terrorist group likely will launch an attack on Italy within weeks, not months, according to a senior Libyan government official.

Aref Ali Nayed, Libya’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, said in an interview that one likely method of attack would be to use stolen Libyan airliners now believed to be in the hands of Islamists in Libya.

“The horrific video showing 21 Coptic Christians beheaded in Libya contained a direct threat from ISIS to Rome,” said Mr. Nayed, using an acronym for the terrorist group. “The threat of ISIS to Italy could become a reality in a matter of weeks rather than months.” Continue reading

‘Slaughter of major proportions’ feared after ISIS kidnaps 300 Christians

Authorities fear that ISIS will launch an “on-camera slaughter of major proportions” after kidnapping at least 300 Christians in Syria last week, a top US official told The Post.

“What is very disconcerting is that they rounded up all of these people, and we know from experience that they usually kill their captives on film and in the most brutal fashion,” the official explained. Continue reading

Top general: ‘Islamists embedded in White House?’

Please see the source for the video interview with retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Tom McInern.

In the wake of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, beheading 21 Coptic Christians in Libya, retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Tom McInerney is slamming the Obama administration for failing to take obvious military steps to destroy the terrorists and identify radical Islam as the motivating factor for the atrocities committed throughout the region.

“I think the air campaign is not nearly the intensity we needed,” McInerney said. “It’s not even an air campaign. It’s somewhere between seven and 15 sorties a day when we absolutely need upward of 100-200 sorties a day. I’m calling for 200. We need to be attacking the ISIS capital of Raqqa (Syria) 24/7. We need to close the highway between Raqqa and Mosul, Iraq.”
