Rival investors seek to stop Chinese takeover of Chicago Stock Exchange

In December 2016, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States approved the CHX deal. But in August, the SEC delayed action on the purchase and has offered no timeline for when it will make a decision. | Getty

A group of U.S. investors hoping to buy the Chicago Stock Exchange is lobbying Congress to torpedo a rival, Chinese-backed acquisition proposal that is stalled at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Lobbyists representing “Exchange Capital LLC,” a special-purpose entity for a private-equity investor group, said they helped generate a Sept. 26 letter led by Rep. Robert Pittenger (R-N.C.) to the SEC raising “serious concerns” over the CHX acquisition. Continue reading

Trump To Unveil “Passive-Aggressive” Currency War With China

Call it passive-aggressive currency war.

While one of Trump’s most sincere desires, both during his campaign, and ideologically from his life prior to politics, has been to publicly declare China a currency manipulator – something he promised he would do on day one of his administration – and crack down on the “undervalued” Yuan (even though over the past 18 months, China has been scrambling to prevent further devaluation of the Yuan in light of over $1 trillion in capital outflows in recent years), lately Trump appears to have gotten second thoughts, and after backing off on his intent to negotiate the “One China” policy, now Trump is looking for a way out of engaging China directly in currency war. Chinese bought division of IBM that manufactures computing servers for U.S. Navy Aegis cruisers

As the Clintons during their 90’s tenure allowed for supercomputers to be sold to China, they used them for nuclear weapons testing, they had knowingly compromised Americas entire nuclear deterrent edge.

In December of last year, the following was stated on Global Geopolitics:

If people thought the ‘barbarians’ were at the gate just during Obama or Bush’s tenure, they couldn’t be more dead wrong and haven’t payed attention one bit. They also weren’t at the gate, but within. Thanks to the Clinton administration, the Chinese military is now on par with America’s and within the next ten years will be superior, also thanks in part to the decimation of the U.S. Military from within via purging of senior officers and budget cuts that are happening now.

Although it’s another story, the Clintons are also largely responsible for the financial crisis of 2008 due to repealing the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999.

What the Clintons did years ago is now coming to fruition. Still, there will always be the oblivious bunch who never saw it coming and couldn’t imagine how it all happened.

America is in both free fall and grave danger.

Thanks to this we now have a dangerous China doing as it pleases and is both politically and economically pushing the United States slowly out of Asia. Militarily pushing America out of Asia can’t be too far behind as they arguably now possess the ability to keep any invader out of their backyard thanks to thousands of missiles stockpiled, satellite killers and aircraft carrier killers, to name a few.

Now fast forward to 2015 and the entire U.S. Navy compromised in one sale.

If people do not understand what is going on now, they will when it’s too late. That’s the tragedy.

…and if you didn’t know already, as mentioned in the article, Forbes is owned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). When you read it, you are likely being fed the party line.

(NaturalNews) IBM’s decision to sell one of its manufacturing divisions to a Chinese firm could not only damage U.S. national security; it will also cost taxpayers plenty of money.

The American technology giant recently inked a deal with Chinese computer maker Lenovo involving IBM’s division that manufactures servers for the U.S. Navy’s upgraded Aegis Combat System, one of the most formidable nautical offensive and defensive systems on the planet.

According to USNI News (U.S. Naval Institute), the $2.1 billion sale was closed in October, making Lenovo the number three server manufacturer in the world.

That’s just business, right? Continue reading

U.S. unlikely to block Chinese purchase of Smithfield

The U.S. government should soon give the go-ahead for the largest ever Chinese acquisition of a U.S. company: a Chinese food group’s $4.7-billion (U.S.) deal to buy Smithfield Foods Inc., a person familiar with the matter told Reuters.

Government approval of the purchase of Smithfield by Shuanghui International Holdings would be a major step forward for the deal. But it still needs shareholder approval, and at least one substantial shareholder is looking for a higher price. Continue reading

China Deal Benefits Obama Donors

Administration-approved takeover by Chinese oil company provides Obama backers windfall

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch is suing the Treasury Department for records pertaining to the department’s decision to grant a Chinese government-backed company access to oil deposits in the Gulf of Mexico, a move that will benefit Obama donors.

The Chinese National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) reached a “definitive agreement” with Nexen, Inc., a Canadian energy company, announced on July 23, 2012, to buy all of the company’s outstanding public shares. Nexen has holdings in the Gulf of Mexico and Canada, giving the Chinese government access to millions of barrels of Keystone XL and Gulf reserve oil. Continue reading

U.S. approves sale of fed-backed Mich. battery maker A123 to Chinese

If anyone is wondering just how China is acquiring their technology and are able to use it to modernize their military, here is one of the best examples in the last five years. Once brought up in a previous article (see also here), here is an update on the plight of the A123 battery making company:

Washington — The Obama administration approved the sale of most of bankrupt battery maker A123 Systems’ assets to Chinese firm Wanxiang Group Corp.

The company’s U.S. subsidiary, Chicago-based Wanxiang America, said it has received approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. to complete its acquisition of substantially all of the non-government business assets of A123 Systems, Inc. Continue reading

The solution to US debt? Sell Alaska

Maybe what Russian professor Igor Panarin had to say quite a few years ago, although off on the timing, might slowly be coming to fruition.

The prospect of once again hitting the federal debt ceiling has provoked the ritual round of hand-wringing about the intractable nature of this $US16 trillion conundrum. But there is a simple, elegant option that involves no tax increases, no spending cuts and just a bit of imagination.

Sell Alaska.

That’s right. Put the entire state – from Juneau to Deadhorse, from the Bering Strait to the Beaufort Sea – on the auction block.

Absurd? No more absurd than the spectacle taking place right now as we skid closer to the fiscal cliff. Continue reading
