Liberal Billionaire George Soros Will Spend More on the 2018 Midterm Race Than Ever Before

Billionaire liberal donor George Soros

Controversial billionaire George Soros will spend more on the 2018 midterm elections than in any previous one.

In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that corporations, unions, and certain nonprofits should be allowed to raise and spend unlimited amounts of money to advocate for and against political candidates.

Since then, Soros has raised $5 million for Democratic politicians in midterm elections.

Specifically, Soros took advantage of this ruling by using his Open Society Foundation (OSF) as a major contributor hub for the politicians and legislative proposals he liked best.

Trump ignores Gore’s advice, instead picks skeptic to head EPA & dismantle climate agenda

‘Trump listened to what Gore had to say at their New York City meeting and then he exercised his good judgement and did the exact opposite.’

Climate Depot’s publisher Marc Morano statement on President Elect Donald Trump’s selection of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt pick for EPA chief:

“President-Elect Trump’s appointment of Scott Pruitt is a breath of fresh air. No longer do we have to suffer under President Obama’s ridiculous EPA ‘climate’ regulations. It is also refreshing that a Republican President is not throwing the EPA over to the green activists and the media by appointing a weak administrator. Christine Todd Whitman he is not! See: Bravo! Trump appoints ‘a fierce critic of the EPA’ — to head EPA!Cheers! Trump picks leading EPA critic to head agency & NYT: ‘Trump Picks Scott Pruitt, Climate Change Denialist, to Lead EPA‘ & Wash Post: Trump names Scott Pruitt, Oklahoma AG suing EPA on climate change. Manpower-challenged U.S. Army sets new priority: ‘Mitigate climate change’

The U.S. Army is now in free-fall and committing suicide.

The U.S. Army on Thursday pledged to honor “Earth Day” by “reasserting its pledge to address the implications of climate change and assess associated risks to national security.”

In a special message to soldiers, the Army, which faces deep cuts in the ranks of active duty soldiers, said it is focused on “the role the land plays in ensuring the Army remains ready and resilient.”

Lawrence Wilkerson: “The American ‘Empire’ Is In Deep, Deep Trouble”

Former US army colonel and Chief of Staff for Colin Powell, Lawrence Wilkerson unleashed a most prescient speech on the demise of the United States Empire.

As Naked Capitalism’s Yves Smith notes, Wilkerson describes the path of empires in decline and shows how the US is following the classic trajectory. He contends that the US needs to make a transition to being one of many powers and focus more on strategies of international cooperation. Continue reading

Putin’s Plan in Ukraine: Invade, Wait—and Invade

As reports broke on Wednesday concerning a new eruption of heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine, a picture took shape suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin is following a blueprint of expansionism that dates back thousands of years.

It’s a blueprint that warfare historian Victor Davis Hanson calls “invade, wait—and invade.”

In an article from this March, Hanson explained: “From Philip of Macedon to Napoleon, aggressors did not necessarily have a grand timetable for creating an empire. Instead, they went at it ad hoc. They took as much as they could at any given time; then backed away for a bit, if they sensed strong opposition was building—only to go back on the offensive when vigilance waned.”

Foreign Firm Funding U.S. Green Groups Tied to State-Owned Russian Oil Company

Ever wonder who’s behind the drive to sabotage oil independence in America under the guise of radical environmentalism? Look no further than Russia — and they’ve been doing it for decades. It didn’t just start with fracking.

Read the full article only if you can stomach seeing how strong of an undetected stranglehold Russia has on America.

A shadowy Bermudan company that has funneled tens of millions of dollars to anti-fracking environmentalist groups in the United States is run by executives with deep ties to Russian oil interests and offshore money laundering schemes involving members of President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle. One of those executives, Nicholas Hoskins, is a director at a hedge fund management firm that has invested heavily in Russian oil and gas. He is also senior counsel at the Bermudan law firm Wakefield Quin and the vice president of a London-based investment firm whose president until recently chaired the board of the state-owned Russian oil company Rosneft.

In addition to those roles, Hoskins is a director at a company called Klein Ltd. No one knows where that firm’s money comes from. Its only publicly documented activities have been transfers of $23 million to U.S. environmentalist groups that push policies that would hamstring surging American oil and gas production, which has hurt Russia’s energy-reliant economy. Is the end of the world nigh? Atomic scientists set to make ‘major announcement’ about Doomsday Clock

  • Symbolic clock was established by Manhattan Project scientists in 1947
  • It’s designed to show how close civilisation is to facing global catastrophe
  • Scientists track threats by monitoring nuclear weapons and climate change
  • The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) will host a live international news conference to make a ‘major announcement’ on Thursday
  • Expected to reveal the board’s decision regarding the clock’s minute hand
  • Last time, Doomsday Clock minute hand moved was in January 2012, when it was pushed ahead one minute from six to five minutes before midnight
  • Nuclear modernisation, climate change reports and terrorism could feature

The conference will begin at 4pm GMT (11am EST) on 22 January 2015. Continue reading

1 year from now, freedom dies worldwide

After the usual impeccably choreographed all-night “negotiation,” delegates of almost 200 nations at the latest annual U.N. climate yak-fest – this time in Lima, Peru – reached the usual agreement not to agree on anything except that the process by which they profit must continue.

Not one delegate made any mention of the fact that every single one of the mad scientists’ predictions about the global warming and consequent planetary doom has failed to happen.

Notwithstanding record increases in CO2 concentration, global temperature has stubbornly failed to rise at all for 18 years, two months and counting.

The rate of warming in the 25 years since the first report on the subject in 1990 by the U.N.’s climate panel has been less than half what its useless computer models then predicted.

Obama Pursuing Climate Accord in Lieu of Treaty

What US Constitution?

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is working to forge a sweeping international climate change agreement to compel nations to cut their planet-warming fossil fuel emissions, but without ratification from Congress.

In preparation for this agreement, to be signed at a United Nations summit meeting in 2015 in Paris, the negotiators are meeting with diplomats from other countries to broker a deal to commit some of the world’s largest economies to enact laws to reduce their carbon pollution. But under the Constitution, a president may enter into a legally binding treaty only if it is approved by a two-thirds majority of the Senate.

To sidestep that requirement, President Obama’s climate negotiators are devising what they call a “politically binding” deal that would “name and shame” countries into cutting their emissions. The deal is likely to face strong objections from Republicans on Capitol Hill and from poor countries around the world, but negotiators say it may be the only realistic path. Continue reading

China seeks new Antarctic station

China is the last nation on earth to care about ‘climate change’, as evidenced in their blatant flouting of international treaties year in and year out on pollution reduction. Like Iran, who has masked the launching of ICBMs with a ‘scientific’ facade, complete with chimpanzes and rats, China is masking its future military power projection over the Antarctic under the guise of ‘science’. At the very least, China is likely installing a monitoring station focused on the southern hemisphere and laying stake to a piece of one of the world’s last undeveloped and strategically critical regions.

Chinese researchers have sought environmental approval for a new climate change research station in Antarctica.

Under the Antarctic treaty regulations, Australian officials are responsible for environmental approval of such projects. Continue reading

UN climate chief: Communism is best to fight global warming

United Nations climate chief Christiana Figueres said that democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she says, is the best model.

China may be the world’s top emitter of carbon dioxide and struggling with major pollution problems of their own, but the country is “doing it right” when it comes to fighting global warming says Figueres. Continue reading
