China’s New Colossal Missile Launcher Revealed

China has constructed a new mobile missile launcher possibly intended to carry its new anti-ship missile. Earlier this month pictures of a new Transporter Erector Launch (TEL) vehicle was seen driving on the streets of China.

PLA’s CJ-10 cruise missile more advanced than Indian counterpart

After India tested its subsonic Nirbhay cruise missile–which is capable of carrying nuclear warheads–on Oct. 17, the Sina Military Network based in Beijing said that China’s CJ-10 cruise missile is much more powerful than its Indian counterpart.

China developing world’s most accurate cruise missiles: report

China has begun developing the world’s most accurate cruise missiles with the ability to hit targets in Japan as well as US military bases, according to a recent report published by the Washington-based Project 2049 Institute.

In the article titled China’s Evolving Reconnaissance-Strike Capabilities, author Ian Easton claims that after many years of efforts, China has acquired a considerable amount of cruise missile systems, including the PLA Second Artillery Force’s ground-launched Changjian-10 or Long Sword (CJ-10) land attack cruise missiles (LACMs), the PLA Navy’s ground- and ship-launched Yingji-62 “Eagle Strike” anti-ship cruise missile, and the PLA Air Force’s Yingji-63 and CJ-20 LACMs.

H-6K can strike regional targets without leaving Chinese airspace

And now we know one of the purposes behind China’s ADIZ and are also reminded as to why Tibet is strategically important for China.

The People’s Liberation Army’s H-6K strategic bomber can attack the Japanese mainland with CJ-10 cruise missiles without even leaving Chinese airspace, reports the Kanwa Defense Review run by Andrei Chang also known as Pinkov, a military analyst based in Canada.

China had no real nuclear projection capability until H-6K entered service with the PLA Air Force, Kanwa’s report said. H-6K bombers have already been deployed with the 8th and 10th air divisions of the PLA Air Force. However, strategic bombers alone can not help China penetrate enemy defenses using surface-to-air missiles. For this reason, the long-range cruise missile has become a crucial part of China’s nuclear arsenal.

With a range of between 1,500 and 2,000 kilometers, the CJ-10 meets the requirements of the PLA Air Force to possess the capability to launch strategic missile attacks against US military facilities and those of its allies in the Western Pacific. All major cities in India are also within range if the H-6K launches the missile from Tibet.

China Deploys New Bomber with Long-Range Land Attack Missile

China’s military recently deployed an upgraded strategic bomber that will carry the military’s new long-range land attack cruise missile, capable of attacking Hawaii and Guam, according to a draft congressional report.

The Oct. 8 draft of the forthcoming report of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission also reveals that China has developed a new armed drone nearly identical to U.S. military’s Reaper. The Chinese missile-firing drone likely was developed through Chinese cyber espionage against U.S. defense contractors.

The report highlights a rapidly modernizing Chinese military that includes large numbers of new weapons and new warfighting techniques, including attack capabilities in space and cyberspace.
