Cracks in Dollar Are Getting Larger

Many Daily Reckoning readers are familiar with the original petrodollar deal the U.S made with Saudi Arabia.

It was set up by Henry Kissinger and Saudi princes in 1974 to prop up the U.S. dollar. At the time, confidence in the dollar was on shaky ground because President Nixon had ended gold convertibility of dollars in 1971.

Saudi Arabia was receiving dollars for their oil shipments, but they could no longer convert the dollars to gold at a guaranteed price directly with the U.S. Treasury. The Saudis were secretly dumping dollars and buying gold on the London market. This was putting pressure on the bullion banks receiving the dollar. Continue reading

You Want War? Russia is Ready for War

Meanwhile, America is not ready for war. Barack Obama has been busy creating selfies while decimating and destroying the American military. The only concern of the Obama administration of late is their dog pooping throughout the White House. This article highlights how serious the threat is and how unprepared America is, let alone having awareness outside of the NFL games.

The threat is real. How many more warnings, articles and stories do you need as proof that things are not alright?

If it’s not already too late, American needs to get its act together and return to God. Otherwise, as warned (as commanded) here for years, the Biblically prophesied sword is coming.

(Note: A majority of the article will remain here.)

A threat straight from the Kremlin’s mouthpiece, Sputnik News:

Russia deploys S-400 air defence missile system in Syria

Nobody needs to read Zbigniew “Grand Chessboard” Brzezinski’s 1997 opus to know US foreign policy revolves around one single overarching theme: prevent – by all means necessary – the emergence of a power, or powers, capable of constraining Washington’s unilateral swagger, not only in Eurasia but across the world.

The Pentagon carries the same message embedded in newspeak: the Full Spectrum Dominance doctrine.

Syria is leading all these assumptions to collapse like a house of cards. So no wonder in a Beltway under no visible chain of command – the Obama administration barely qualifies as lame duck – angst is the norm.

California moves to restrict water pumping by pre-1914 rights holders

http://www.trbimg.com/img-557b2487/turbine/la-me-ln-drought-water-rights-20150612-001

For the first time in nearly 40 years, state regulators are telling more than 100 growers and irrigation districts with some of the oldest water rights in California that they have to stop drawing supplies from drought-starved rivers and streams in the Central Valley.

The curtailment order, issued Friday by the State Water Resources Control Board, has been expected for weeks. Earlier this spring, the board halted diversions under some 8,700 junior rights. With snowmelt reduced to a trickle this year, there simply isn’t enough water flowing in rivers to meet the demand of all those with even older rights predating 1914.

And as flows continue to decline this summer, board officials said, they expect to issue more curtailments, stopping river pumping by more senior diverters. Continue reading

In the absence of a U.S. ‘strategy’, Middle East braces for ‘the big war’

The most dangerous U.S. President in history has changed the world forever, and the worst is yet to come. Furthermore, the politicians of any respective country are a direct reflection of the hearts and minds of the people. Voters made a large mistake in 2008 by voting their first modern Egyptian pharaoh who will continue to rule like an unchecked tyrant. You cannot undo the last six years in America. Switching from Democrats to Republicans will not fix the solution as both parties are on the same side, as in Russia today.

If you were to ask when America will collapse, the smart answer would be 2008. And rightly so, all the blame also does not fall squarely on Obama. Since then, America has been in free-fall and 95% of the public will never notice until it hits bottom, mistaking that for the actual crash.

As you cannot legislate morality in hopes of bringing America back, the only hope for the once great nation is a return to God by its people. If the nation as a whole fully repents, there will be peace. Until then, His judgement is in full motion as we speak and will only continue to accelerate.

U.S. President Barack Obama referred early last year to Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) as a JV team.

ISIL’s subsequent rampage through Iraq and Syria proved Obama wrong, but analysts cited by a McClatchyDC report think the worst has yet to come.

“The conditions are very much like 1914,” said Michael Stephens of the Royal United Service Institute in London. “All it will take is one little spark, and Iran and Saudi Arabia will go at each other, believing they are fighting a defensive war.”

Iraqi Kurdish commentator Hiwa Osman believes “the whole region is braced for the big war, the war that has not yet happened, the Shiite-Sunni war.” Continue reading

Obama is reversing Reagan’s Cold War victory, inviting new hot wars

President Obama is on the verge of an historic triumph.

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the American Left has been bitter about America’s victory in the Cold War. For decades, they preached moral equivalence between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Without firing a shot, Reagan achieved the unthinkable — the U.S.S.R was swept into the dustbin of history. Moreover, the United States emerged as the world’s sole superpower. Its military might was unrivaled. Its economic prosperity was unmatched. Its democratic system was the envy of the world. Continue reading

Crash of 2014: Like 1929, you’ll never hear it coming

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (MarketWatch) — Imagine, you’re in the exciting new 21st century. Civilization still exists on Planet Earth. Wall Street’s still in business. But you’re still asking: Why can’t we hear the next crash? Are we deaf? No. The warnings are always long and loud. So why can’t we “hear” them? In fact, it’ll get worse. Here’s why…

Yes, crashes will keep coming: History lesson: The 1929 crash led to the Great Depression. On March 20, 2000 we warned: “Next crash? Sorry, you’ll never hear it coming.” Few listened. The 1990’s dot-com mania led to Wall Street losing $8 trillion in the 2000-2003 bear-market recession. Nothing changed. Another round of warnings roared from 2004 into 2008. Few listened. Another crash. Wall Street lost even more, $10 trillion. Continue reading

Shinzo Abe Compares Japan-China Tensions To UK-Germany Before World War I

Japan Prime Minster Shinzo Abe said the current tension between Japan and China is a “similar situation” as the rivalry Britain and Germany before World War I, Gideon Rachman of The Financial Times reports.

From FT:

The comparison, he explained, lies in the fact that Britain and Germany – like China and Japan – had a strong trading relationship. But in 1914, this had not prevented strategic tensions leading to the outbreak of conflict. Continue reading

Are we on the brink of war? Academic sparks debate by drawing comparisons between 1914 past and 2014 present

The year was 1914. The world was experimenting with economic globalisation.

Optimists believed this new world economy would eliminate war.

But the concept proved to be in conflict with old notions of empire and fresh attitudes of expansionism. Continue reading

The West has lost control of the world and disaster awaits

We’re going to need a great of luck to avoid a nuclear catastrophe – and this can be traced back to the First World War and the death of Frederick III in 1888

As we look forward to the First World War commemorations, three stark conclusions are hard to refute. First, that in the course of this century we will need a great deal of luck to avoid a nuclear catastrophe. Second, that the Enlightenment has failed. Third, that this can all be traced back to the Great War. Continue reading
