Pipe bomb concerns are just the latest manifestation of America’s body politic reaching the boiling point.
…
Regardless of whether or not you believe the bombs were a real threat against liberal and Democratic Party officials, the fact is that the mainsteam media has made them out to be one. This chorus was led by CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker, who issued the following statement:
…
That led to White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders reminding Zucker and CNN that President Donald Trump had urged Americans to “come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the USA.” Then, she noted that Zucker instead had decided to “attack and divide.”
The president also responded (emphasis his):
“A very big part of the anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the mainstream media that I refer to as Fake News. It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!”
But it may be too late.
In Los Angeles, a congressional candidate forum involving House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff and Rep. Brad Sherman and their Republican opponents devolved into chaos when audience members wearing Make America Great Again hats began shouting and heckling the Democrat candidates. And, in Charlotte, N.C., where the president plans to hold another MAGA rally on Friday night, an African-American Republican was harassed by a group of white men, one of whom was armed.
The violence being fomented by the Left will absolutely impact the election, but the question is whether or not conservative voters will be brave enough to go to the polls in the face of it. If they do, the Democrat’s “blue wave” could quickly become a “red tsunami.”
