DONALD Trump has deployed swathes of US military equipment to Estonia as Nato continues to build its growing army on the Russian border.
More than 50 units of military equipment including four battle tanks and 15 infantry fighting vehicles, were delivered to Tapa, northern Estonia, according to the Estonian Defence Forces.
Reports confirmed the American troops will even take part in the country’s Independence Day Parade.
In a statement, the US Defence Department said: “The movement of equipment and troops into and around Europe marks the beginning of a continuous rotation of armoured brigade combat teams from the United States as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
“Atlantic Resolve is a demonstration of continued US commitment to collective security through a series of actions designed to reassure NATO allies and partners of America’s dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region in light of the Russian intervention in Ukraine.”
The move of more military equipment into Europe comes days after Trump refused to call Putin a “killer” and aligned the US and Russia on the same moral plain.
Defending Nato’s defence stance against Russia, Mr Stoltenberg said: “NATO General Secretary, Jens Stoltenberg, said: “NATO does not want confrontation with Russia. We don’t seek confrontation with Russia. We don’t want a new Cold War so our response is measured.
“It is transparent and it is defensive. But it sends a clear signal that we stand together. That all Allies are ready to protect each other. Defending one another.”
