GERMAN Chancellor Angela Merkel has topped the list of the most powerful women in the world.
The 61-year-old leader has been nominated as the globe’s number one power woman for the sixth year running.
The power chart takes into account the person’s money and net worth, media presence, ‘sphere of influence’ both within their field and outside it.
Mrs Merkel beats presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton to the spot, as well as the chief executive of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg.
The Chancellor has successfully persuade all the troubled European economies, such as Greece and Spain, to buy into to German fiscal and legal logic, said Forbes.
At the same time, Ms Merkel has displayed her might by coercing german citizens and politicians into her solutions.
