Saudi cash threat to Obama if he does not BLOCK 9/11 victims’ bid to sue oil-rich state

If and when the documents get released, we’re looking at a possible war with Saudi Arabia. The next President will come under tremendous public pressure to act on Saudi involvement in 9/11.

BARACK Obama is expected to block a bill that allows victims of 9/11 and their relatives to sue the Government of Saudi Arabia over its alleged involvement in the world’s worst terror strike…after the oil-rich state ‘threatened to pull billions out of the US’.

Before the bill, passed by the US Senate, goes before the House of Representatives and then in front of Mr Obama, to enshrine it in law, White House officials have indicated the President would veto it.

If passed, the bill would allows US citizens to pursue direct financial damage claims against those who funded the 9/11 attacks, with evidence being presented before court of top-level Saudi involvement.

It comes after a judge sitting in the US ordered Iran to pay billions of dollars to compensate victims of the 9/11 terror strikes after ruling the Islamic nation was part-responsible for aiding the hijackers.

The oil rich country was ordered to pay $7.5billion (£5.1bn) to 9/11 victims’ families, including $2million (£1.37m) to each victim’s estate for pain and suffering, and another $6.88m (£4.72m) in punitive damages.

In March US District Judge George Daniels reached the ruling in default because Iran did not contest the case, so no evidence was heard and no trial took place.

But conspiracy theorists who claim the US not only knew of the “Saudi Government involvement, but helped cover it up”, are being fuelled further after the Muslim country reportedly threatened a withdrawel of around $750bn (£514bn) of investments in America if the new bill becomes a law.
