Bachmann, in an interview over the weekend on Jan Markell’s evangelical radio program “Understanding the Times,” said the controversial deal will help bring about the end of the world and the second coming of Jesus Christ.
“All the nations of the world signed an agreement that slams the door against Israel and opened it up to enriching and empowering the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world, whose ultimate goal is the annihilation of the Jewish State,” Bachmann, who unsuccessfully ran for President as a Republican in 2012, said on the program.
“That is Zechariah 12:3, folks,” Markell responded, referring to a Biblical verse that predicts that “all the nations of the earth” will team up against Jerusalem only to “injure themselves.” “That’s been predicted for lots and lots of years.”

“We live in this world … We know how this is going to turnout. As the prophets foretold, the prophets longed to live in this day,” Bachmann said. “I’m actually extremely excited. I think we’re about to see, if we believers act in concert, I absolutely believe we can see the strong right arm of a holy God prove to the world his power and his strength.”
“From a biblical perspective, the Lord has allowed us to see how he is using politics, using leaders, using politicians, using foreign policy to bring about where we are today,” she said.
