The modernization of Russia’s armed forces has stepped up its pace, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday at a meeting on the development of Russia’s defense industry.
SOCHI, May 12 (Sputnik) – The president added that the priority task was to keep the pace.
“In general, the Defense Ministry and defense industry structures and organizations have followed all my instructions and this boosted the rearmament of the army and navy.”
The formation on the base of Russia’s Northern Fleet has allowed for an increase in security in the Arctic, Vladimir Putin said.
