European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker calls for EU army

As oft said here, the EU Army is real, on the rise and has been covered here for some time.

First comes the political, social and economic integration. Then comes the military. This is done out of disdain for NATO, which the EU thinks, but will not say due to the fact it’s their umbrella protectorate and they would otherwise have nothing to fall back on. America is in suicidal decline and the Russian bear from the east is knocking on its door at the border.

For the new reader or casual passerby, you can sift through the European Army or Fourth Reich categories for extensive information of the events leading up to this point and what it’s likely shaping up to be for the years ahead.

EUROPEAN Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker has called for the creation of an EU army in the wake of rising tensions with Russia.

“But a common army among the Europeans would convey to Russia that we are serious about defending the values of the European Union.”

He said a joint EU force would also lead to more efficient spending on military equipment and drive further integration of the bloc’s 28 member states.

“Europe’s image has suffered dramatically and also in terms of foreign policy, we don’t seem to be taken entirely seriously.”

The newspaper said that former NATO Secretary-General Javier Solana would present a report on Monday in Brussels calling for a new European security strategy, including military capability to intervene beyond EU borders.
