ISIS Battles to Encircle Syrian Kurds in Kobane – Ready for the Kill

ISIS has nearly encircled Kurdish fighters in Kobane, Syria. The Kurdish fighters are battling to remain control of the border crossing with Turkey. If ISIS takes the area the Kurds will be trapped inside Kobane. The US airstrikes have failed.

BBC reported:

Gunfire and explosions can be heard from the Syrian border town of Kobane where Islamic State fighters are trying to encircle its Kurdish defenders.

The Kurds repulsed a pre-dawn attack and still control the town’s border crossing point with Turkey.

The crossing point is a vital supply and exit route, correspondents say.

60,000 to 100,000 Syrian Kurds have fled the Kobane region in Syria into Turkey in the last three weeks.
